5 Powerful Foods To Fight Pain

Pain is all a part of the game.

Without it, it’s hard to tell if you’re doing things right or if you’re just barely scratching the surface of your workout. The point of training hard is to see results and the soreness you feel from a hard day in the gym is the perfect indication that you’ve been making strides towards becoming a better you.  We’ve all heard the expression, “No Pain, No Gain”, and there’s no denying it.

But sometimes that pain of improvement can end up being a bit of a hindrance. After all, if you’re in too much pain to even get up off your ass and get into the gym in the first place, then what the hell is the point? Pain acts as a signal to your brain of hard work, but also that your body is being battered, even if the reason is to make a more ripped and shredded version of yourself.

To keep you pushing hard in the gym and keep the pain of a tough workout from leaving you so broken that you can’t even set foot in the gym, we’ve compiled a list of some natural foods that will give you the relief you need and hopefully avoid the need for popping pills…

Ginger

Generation Iron Ginger

Apparently ginger is more for just fighting nausea. The root has come to be known for helping with inflammation which is a major cause of pain.  Ginger tea with some lemon and/or honey is also great for your immune system in general and fighting the common cold.

Coffee

Generation Iron Coffee

A cup of joe will do more for your workout than just keep your energy levels up. The caffeine in coffee is great for alleviating chronic pain and will help you push through it during a tough workout.
