ALCOHOL IMPROVING YOUR GAINS? PROTEIN BEER IS ON THE WAY

Generation Iron Protein Beer

Beer + Protein = a new way to consume alcohol.

You’ve heard it tons of times before. Alcohol consumption will ruin your gains. It’s not simple broscience, it’s been proven that excessive drinking can prove to ruin all the hard work you put into the gym. It’s tough, particularly if you’re a fan of knocking back a few drinks once in awhile. I’m not talking about drowning yourself in alcohol, but some responsible leisure drinking isn’t all that horrible for you. Despite that, most people who are into fitness refuse to even touch the stuff in fear that the muscle growth will be stunted.

Well for those who like to enjoy an alcoholic beverage from time to time, it looks like you may just be in luck. Recently new company Supplemental Brewing has come up with a brilliant idea that will ensure you can enjoy a cold brew while at the same time maintaining or even increasing your gains. Yes, you read that right. We’re talking about protein beer.

The company is hoping to generate enough support in the fitness community to get a kickstarter to start producing the protein infused alcoholic beverage called Brewtein and Nutrabeer – something unheard of in the fitness community. It’s certainly a pretty risky idea to say the least. The project banks on the fact that those who are into fitness will be interested in consuming alcohol in the first place. That being said, I’m sure there are a ton of individuals out there looking to enjoy a bit of alcohol while getting an adequate amount of protein all at once.

It’s a pretty revolutionary idea that can prove to be very lucrative for the creators and possibly add a new wrinkle to your nutrition goals. Check out the video below for details on Supplemental Brewing’s two protein infused products. Could this be a solution to staying healthy, building your body, and being able to enjoy some booze? Probably not – but it might just help make us feel a little less guilty after a fun Friday night.
