ARNOLD CLASSIC EUROPE: WHERE WAS BIG RAMY?

Generation Iron Big Ramy Arnold Europe

Big Ramy was mysteriously absent on the Arnold Classic stage – where was he?

With Kai and Phil not competing in the Arnold Classic Europe this past weekend – the competition suddenly became more intense. Without the two top placing bodybuilders in the world competing, who would rise up and take the #1 spot? Many people put their money on Dennis Wolf and Shawn Rhoden but one other major competitor that everyone was excited to see was Big Ramy.

Big Ramy has been a super charged rising star ever since he landed on the bodybuilding scene. To many, he represents the future Mr. Olympia – the man who will succeed Phil Heath when his time as champion has come to an end. So many fans were very disappointed to not see Big Ramy on stage during one of the biggest international competitions of the year. Especially with some of the top competitors sitting out, many were curious as to where Big Ramy would place and what it would mean for his future.

Unfortunately, it appears that his lack of presence at the ACE was because of a hamstring injury. Even worse, while he will be appearing at the Dubai Pro show, he will not be competing. Here’s the official statement that Dennis James posted yesterday:

Generation Iron Dennis James Comment

So it seems that Olympia might be the last time we see him compete in the 2014 season. But Dennis James says it best at the end – he will be back stronger and bigger than ever. This might be a let down for the fans in the moment but great things are truly coming for the future of Big Ramy and we personally can’t wait to see them.

Be sure to stop back later for a full preview of the Dubai Pro show coming up this Wednesday. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get the most up-to-date info about all things bodybuilding. Stay pumped.
