Heading into the 2016 Olympia most of the talk has focused on a few things where the open weight division is concerned. Everyone has been curious about Kevin Levrone and his return to form. Though he may be 52 years old, the long time bodybuilding veteran has been able to convince himself as well as a legion of bodybuilding fans that he is at the top of his game. The confidence that he’s bringing with him to this event has gotten people questioning if Levrone actually does have what it takes to dethrone Phil Heath and finally capture the Olympia title that has eluded him his entire career. But he isn’t the only veteran looking to upset the balance of power at this year’s show. Dexter Jackson is poised and ready to crush the opposition.

Ever since coming in second at the 2015 Olympia, the idea of Dexter Jackson once again becoming champion has seemed less and less unbelievable. Jackson is no spring chicken, yet despite that fact he has been able to beat out some of bodybuilding’s biggest names including Shawn Rhoden, Dennis Wolf, and Big Ramy. That alone should prove to fans and the competition that Jackson isn’t competing just to get a good placing or to get people talking. Dexter Jackson has a legitimate chance at making history and is putting all his efforts towards ensuring victory.

With just 3 weeks left until the big show, the former Olympia champion has been showing off his gains proudly. A guest posing by the veteran showcased just how ready he is to pull off the upset and from the looks of things, Kevin Levrone won’t be the only legit threat to Phil Heath’s title.

Do you think Dexter Jackson has a shot at making history?
