MMA PURISTS REJOICE!

UFC 202 is shaping up to be one hell of a card. Besides, the main event, every fight is shaping up to be an MMA purist’s wet dream. Just yesterday we reported that Carlos Condit will be battling Demian Maia on the main card, and now it’s confirmed that rising star Neil Magny will face off against UFC veteran Don Hyun Kim at the Las Vegas event. Neil Magny (18-4 MMA, 11-3 UFC) has won 10 out of his 11 fights, with notable scalps Kelvin Gastelum, Eric Silva, and most recently performance of the night TKO against Hector Lombard. Neil is an all around fighter with dynamic striking, great jiu jitsu, and a big body with an 80″ wingspan. The only hiccup on his way to the title was a 2nd round submission loss to the human python that is Demian Maia. Don Hyung Kim is a battle tested veteran who’s only lost to the best of the best. Besides being stopped by Tyron Woodley in 61 seconds of the first round, “Stun Gun” Kim has won 6 of his last 7 fights with a recent submission of Josh Burkman and  K.O. of Dominic Waters. All in all this should be a pretty evenly matched fight, whichever fighter has the stronger skillset should win the bout. It seems since UFC 198 every card has been chocked to the brim with great fights. I don’t know about you guys but I’m excited for more! UFC 202 is set for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Aug 20th, 2016.
