Spice Up Your Boring Diet With These 8 Muscle Building Foods

Strength Wars Movie

Do your meals lack creativity?

I remember having a conversation once with a friend who was eating oatmeal. I asked him if it was steel cut or not and he replied he had no idea. I explained to him that steel cut oats are slighter firmer than regular oats and he straight up told me he had no idea because he didn’t even taste oatmeal anymore. He’d eaten the same meal for so long that he no longer tasted it, it was just a habit at this point. Maybe this example is a little extreme but this is probably something a lot of us can relate to in some form or another when it comes to bodybuilding diets.

When it comes to muscle building foods, bodybuilders diets usually get pretty repetitive because well…it works. But variety is the spice of life and nutrition. While many of the items below are common, many builders still aren’t using them. Consider this a friendly reminder of the things you might already know but might have forgotten after falling into a grove. There’s a common phrase in Hollywood, “Give me the same but different”, well here you go.

Lentils

Generation Iron Lentils

A cup of lentils contain 18 grams of protein and 40 grams of healthy carbs. It’s pretty much a secret weapon any builder can utilize for mass gains. Go ahead, put them in a salad, over rice or even as it’s own separate meal. P.S. They also have an incredibly long shelf life.
