Generation Iron Vertical Barbell

Turning conventional knowledge on its head.

The barbell. We all know it, we all love it. We load the weights, feel the bumps on the bar and know we’re about to see glory. One of the best training tools to ever be invented, it just goes to show true genius is in the simple things.

In this 3-5 set landmine circuit workout, Men’s Health Fitness Director BJ Gaddour gives you 5 exercises that challenge your core, build muscle, and burn fat. These exercises also you the added benefit of going easy on the joints. Something that every builder needs for longevity.

.

For those of you who don’t know, a landmine is an attachment placed on end of a barbell in order to keep it stationary in order to move the other weighted end of the barbell safety. You can either attach it to a stationary object (like a smith machine) or to weighted plates. If you’re lifting at home or don’t happen to have one near by you can always make an adequate substitute by placing a towel in the corner of a room and placing the unweighted end of the barbell against the towel – then go to town.

Check out the video below and tell us what you think.
