Trial Of Former UFC Fighter War Machine Begins With Some Strange Allegations

War Machine is a frightening cautionary tale.

Some people claim to love seeing train wrecks. Their ideology is that they get to see raw human emotion and vulnerability during moments of defeat and chaos. For every person their reasoning is different. Some want to know that they aren’t the only people suffering while others feel like they’re staring at the absolute truth of a situation when they get to observe something terrible. It’s a sad and disturbing part of human nature that few desire to discuss with their peers. The situation between former UFC fighter War Machine and his ex-girlfriend and former porn star Christine Mackinday is one train wreck that no person should want to see.

The tale of the former fighter and his former lover was a true roller coaster ride. War Machine, formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, was a MMA fighter with a troubled past. His disturbing childhood would eventually catch up to him as he began to grow increasingly violent over the years, particularly while he was with his ex-girlfriend Christine Mackinday.

Eventually the two split, but it didn’t stop War Machine from allegedly storming into Mackinday’s residence on the morning of August 8, 2014 and beating her and her boyfriend at the time Corey Thomas relentlessly.

As the trial gets underway there have already been some strange happenings during the court case. From War Machine receiving a present from a rejected juror, a bracelet engraved with the word ‘Grace’, to War Machine’s defense attorney claiming that his client was endulging his ex-girlfriend’s rape fantasies, it’s clear that this won’t be your ordinary trial.

War Machine is being tried for 34 counts, including attempted murder, kidnapping and sexual assault.
