Brandon Hendrickson gives his Olympia 2020 predictions for Men’s Open and Classic Physique.

This year’s Mr. Olympia is looking to be another messy one due to rescheduling and drop outs during the pandemic. But there are still some battles that fans are looking forward to at Olympia 2020. With Phil Heath still set to return to the Olympia stage, many wonder if he can reclaim his throne. On top of that, Breon Ansley is gunning to take back his Classic Physique Olympia title after losing to Chris Bumstead last year. During our conversation with Brandon Hendrickson, we wanted to know his predictions on these two big Olympia showdowns. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Brandon Hendrickson explains why he thinks Breon Ansley has the fire to win his Olympia title back.

While discussing possible predictions for the Olympia 2020, Brandon Hendrickson seemed to strongly believe that Breon Ansley can earn back his Olympia title against Chris Bumstead this year. Hendrickson knows from experience, as he also had a surprise loss at last year’s Men’s Physique Olympia.

In our interview, Brandon Hendrickson discusses how losing creates a new fire under him to bring his best package ever. He describes the loss as something to remind him that nothing is guaranteed. After becoming a champion, you almost feel impervious to losing. Now that he’s since lost the title, he has nothing to lose and is ready to be better than ever before.

It’s this mentality that Brandon Hendrickson sees in Breon Ansley as well. From what he can tell, he has a gut feeling that Ansley has a fire under him that he hasn’t had in quite a while. He just might bring his best physique we’ve seen ever.

Of course, that’s not the only division Brandon Hendrickson discussed during our conversation about predictions. He also honed in on the Men’s Open category which, despite drop outs by Shawn Rhoden and Flex Lewis, still has a stacked lineup.

Brandon Hendrickson can’t ignore the fact that Phil Heath is returning. He believes that if Heath comes in at 100% that he will be unbeatable. This is a common thread among many people who have given predictions in the weeks leading up to the big show. That being said, Hendrickson also finds William Bonac and Brandon Curry to hold incredible physiques when they are at 100%. Though he doesn’t state whether or not he thinks Curry at 100% can beat out Heath.

You can watch Brandon Hendrickson’s full prediction comments in our latest GI Exclusive interview segments above.
