Rubiel Mosquera will not take the stage in Columbus in five weeks.

The 2024 Arnold Classic just took another hit in the Men’s Open division. Rubiel Mosquera announced on Tuesday afternoon that he will not compete in Columbus in five weeks. The bodybuilder known as “Neckzilla” shared that he will miss the show due to visa issues.

This announcement comes after Andrew Jacked shared that he will miss both the Arnold Classic and Arnold UK. The competition is just five weeks away. This year the competition is set for March 1-3, 2024, at the usual venue, the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH.

Mosquera took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news:

“Important Update: Due to unexpected visa challenges and my readiness, I’m stepping back from competing at @arnoldsports in Ohio, USA this year. My sincerest apologies to @arnoldsports and all my supporters.”

Rubiel Mosquera is also slated to compete at the Arnold Classic UK. He has not pulled out of that show and is expected to compete, as of now. Neckzilla also highlighted his readiness to compete.

Mosquera took the stage during the 2023 EVLS Prague Pro and put on a show. He earned his Pro Card just days earlier at the EVLS Prague Pro Amateur. Shortly after, Mosquera took the stage against some of the best in the world in Men’s Open. Neckzilla finished with the bronze medal behind Samson Dauda and Michal Krizo. Despite not winning the event, Mosquera stole the show with his insane size and potential.

Mosquera took the same route as many bodybuilders nowadays, including Krizo. He began in the IFBB Elite Pro League and eventually made the move to NPC. He quickly earned his Pro Card and took the stage right away in Men’s Open.

“My journey to the stage is on hold, but the dream lives on. 🌟 Grateful for your endless support, and looking forward to sharing my journey to the stage soon! 🌟💪 #OnwardAndUpward#ArnoldSports

Mosquera continues to be one of the hottest, young names in bodybuilding and fans will be excited to see his progression once he takes the stage.
