Have a #flexfriday – Being this shredded looks ace (to me) however, the emotions and feelings are a complete other story! – This is to anyone who’s considering competing but is a little unsure, for me as a whole I’d always say do it, you won’t know for yourself without actually doing it, however points to consider: 👇🏽 👇🏽 👇🏽 – #1. ARE YOU FINANCIALLY STABLE? prep can be quite expensive, doesn’t have to be but if you want every % of winning you need to consider this – #2. HAVE YOU GOT THE MENTAL STRENGTH? prep is all about mental drive and will power, from a psychological stand point, you’ll be all over the show, but you need to keep your head in the zone and keep pushing on, yes it is very tough – #3. DO YOU HAVE THE TIME? in my eyes this should never be an issue unless if you work 14hr days 7 days a week, if you don’t, don’t give me that shit! I’ve known people to have kids, working a full time job to compete – #4. SUPPORT NETWORK? make sure your family and friends understand the process you’re going to be taking, aswell as it being hard on you it’s hard on them too, to see you in that way, not a lot of people talk about this side of things but it can really test relationships, I’m speaking from experience – #5. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING? no this is not a sales plug for my own coaching, but you can seriously mess up your body from a bad prep, for my first prep I didn’t really know what I was doing and coming into the competition and the 9months after were some very hard times in my life, I couldn’t control my eating, I couldn’t train due to joint issues of excessive cardio and training, I’m quite a happy chap but I did experience quite a fair bit of anxiety, waiting to go to work, meeting people etc, that is not like me at all! But this a very big one, be sensible
