UFC 245 Results
UFC 245 was filled with some of the best fights of 2019. With battles across multiple weight classes in both the men’s and women’s divisions, fans were treated to some delightfully splendid violence throughout the jam packed card.
Who were the big winners at UFC 245?!
The co-main event, and a battle I was certainly looking forward to, featured UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway in a battle between hungry challenger Alexander Volkanovski. Each fighter offered their own brand of effective striking and their anticipated clash didn’t disappoint. Each man implemented a disciplined game plan that eventually saw Alexander Volkanovski take the fight over incumbent champion Max Holloway by unanimous decision making him the first Australian born UFC champion in history.
The clash for the women’s bantamweight title was certainly a competitive one as Amanda Nunes and Germaine De Randamie battled in a rematch of their 2013 bout. The battle had its fair share of drama and while Germaine De Randamie showcased her skill and heart, Amanda Nunes was able to wrestle her way to a unanimous decision victory.
