Dumbbells aren’t just for arms.
When we hear the word dumbbell, a few things come to mind, namely arm workouts and morons. For those of us in the know, we understand the dumbbell exercises aren’t just about building up the arms or upper body. Dumbbells are just as effective for building up the lower half of your body as well.
Though there’s a tendency for everyone to want to build up the upper body, your legs are perhaps the most important part of your body to build up for optimal athletic performance. The gym is every bodybuilder’s mecca, no doubt, but there are times that you won’t be able to get to the gym for leg day. This doesn’t give you an excuse to skip out on leg day. Instead think of it as your opportunity to use that noggin of yours.
If you’re a true afficienado then you’re likely to have some back up weights, dumbbells in this case, lying around somewhere in your house. If you’re avid about your lifting then those backup weights are likely to weigh upwards of 25 lbs. If not that’s cool too, but think about dropping by your local fitness shop and making a purchase. Take a look at these simple dumbbell exercises that will get your wheels into fighting form.
