Jose Raymond and Hadi Choopan looked ultra impressive.
There’s no secret that Generation Iron has a ton of respect for Flex Lewis. That being said, his win streak was in serious jeopardy this past weekend at the Asian Grand Prix. The reigning 212 Olympia champion, Flex Lewis has proved himself nigh unbeatable since the introduction of the division. Crushing the opposition left and right, Flex Lewis has won and made it look easy. But it wouldn’t be fair to mention that Jose Raymond and Hadi Choopan looked super impressive at the Asian Grand Prix, impressive enough in fact for an upset.
Rather than dwell on what the right decision was, we should spend some time commending Jose Raymond and Hadi Choopan on their performances. Both bodybuilders put their absolute all into this competition and it showed with their lines and conditioning. While neither man may not have won, it is clear to all those watching that all it takes is one misstep and even the competitors that “have no chance” will show and prove that they are always dangerous and can ruin anyone’s chance at victory.
This Instagram post showcases the physiques on stage at the Asian Grand Prix. Make up your own minds as to who you think deserved the win that day.
Who do you think won the 2017 Asian Grand Prix in the 212 division?
