Many people have been considered and it’s a good guess that those who prefer to build a more classic physique and frame will undoubtedly join the ranks of the new division.

1. Sadik Hadzovic

One of the top competitors in the physique division, Sadik is perhaps the most obvious selection for a potential classic physique champion. He’s already been compared to Frank Zane who many believe is arguably the most well built and aesthetic bodybuilders to ever compete professionally. Though Sadik has gone on the record stating that he’s sticking to the Physique division, it’s a good possibility that the man could be playing possum and has designs on dominating the new division in the future. After all, if Sadik truly wanted… he’d be able to compete in both divisions if he chose to.

2. Calum Von Moger

An Australian bodybuilder with a ton of potential, Calum Von Moger seems to be a man that many believe could be the uncrowned king in waiting for the newly created division. It means a great deal to be compared to the legendary Olympia king Arnold Schwarzenegger and the comparison isn’t too far off. Calum has a very classic physique and could prove to be just as dominate a champion as Schwarzenegger in his heyday. He may not currently be an IFBB competitor but if there was ever a time to break into the federation… now would be it.

3. Artemis Dolgin

A man that many consider a complete genetic freak, Artemis Dolgin possesses a particularly unique physique. His proportions are pretty unreal with broad shoulders, massive arms, defined legs and a small waist. For anyone who is a follower of the classic bodybuilders during the Golden Era, then there’s no doubt that you can easily see the comparison between physiques of Dolgin and those of the old guard.

4. Shawn Rhoden

Before you go crazy, yes –  we know this one is a bit of the stretch. Sure, many people have compared Rhoden to bodybuilders of the past, but the reality is that the man is far larger than the competitors of the Golden Era. Though many state the Rhoden seems way smaller than his fellow open weight bodybuilders, Shawn Rhoden weighs 240 pounds and stands at 5’10” tall. If he did decide to commit to the new division he’d have to lose a ton of weight, including some muscle, in order to qualify. But if he DID decide to take that plunge, there’s no doubt that he would be a master of the entire Classic Physique division. Unstoppable by nearly every other contender.

5. Ulisses Jr.

A competitor in natural bodybuilding competitions and a fitness model, Ulisses possesses a physique that would be great for classic physique. If he was able to maintain his proportions in accordance with the weight and height requirements then he’d probably do pretty well in the new division. If he did decide to join the IFBB and compete alongside someone like Sadik then fans would get to see a stand off between the best in the game.
