TOP 5 BODYBUILDING PHYSIQUES OF 2015

Forget the awards – who really had the best physique?

2015 has been a crazy year for bodybuilding. Phil Heath pulled off an Olympia win for the 5th year in a row while his arch nemesis Kai Greene was missing in action. The IFBB implemented the Classic Physique division after much controversy about the current state of bodybuilding physiques. Wild man Rich Piana is still up to his same “performance enhancing” but shocked the world when he tied the knot at this years Mr. O. and much much more.

All in all it’s been an eventful year, but when it comes down to it bodybuilding is about displaying a feeling, dare we say a movement, though the human form-the human physique. In the vein of that philosophy we’ve comprised a list of the 5 most impressive and glorious physiques of 2015. These guys navigated all their issues outside of the gym so they had time to put in work. And it shows.

#5 Jeremy Buendia

Buendia is quietly making a name for himself on the pro bodybuilding scene. Picking up 2 Physique Mr. Olympia medals in the last 2 years, Jeremy Buendia is  humble champion who’s shoulder to waist ratio is so perfect it’s ridiculous. He always shows up on point and always shows up to win. And while he has been the reigning champion in Physique we can’t help but find ourselves more impressed with…

#4. Sadik Hadzovick

A relative newcomer in the game, Sadik has not only become a fan favorite but has earned a reputation around the industry as builder’s builder. His fast rise is no accident however, with bodybuilding in his blood, Sadik has surrounded himself with best in the industry day in and day out in order to rise to the top at an accelerated rate. He placed 2nd at this years 2015 Olympia but in our personal opinion he should’ve taken home the gold. He credits his work ethic to his hard knock Yugoslavian upbringing which has forged in him the  confidence that comes with hard work and dedication. Now that he’ll be beefing up to compete in the new Classic Physique division – we can’t wait to see what kind of new and improved physique we get to see next.

#3. Flex Lewis

James “Flex” Lewis is a bodybuilder with as much spunk as he’s got muscle. The UK born builder has had a break out year in 2015, winning Mr. O for the fourth year in a row proving himself to be the greatest 212 competitor of all time. And he truly deserves it, with a physique that even many men’s open bodybuilders would be dying to have. Flex truly is one of the best physiques out there.

#2. Phil Heath

Need we say more? Whether you love the reigning champ, or just love to hate him, if there’s one thing Phil Heath has showed us it’s that slow and steady wins the race. With competitors nipping at his heels for the last 5 years, he leaves little room room for error by staying focused and not letting outside influences get in his way. Whether you think he’s truly the best or not you have to admit that he consistently rises to the occasion every time making it hard for the judges to take away his hardware.

#1. Dexter Jackson

Speaking of consistency… holy sh*t what is this guy doing that we’re not? At 46 years of age, “The Blade” is one of the most experienced builders still competing today and he hasn’t lost a striation- no literally. Dexter Jackson had one hell of a year – placing second in Mr. Olympia and breaking the world record for most Arnold Classic wins back in March. He might not be the current Mr. Olympia champion – but he has a physique that we just can’t stop thinking about. Giving him the number one spot on our list.
