The Only 3 Supplements You Should Be Using

The fitness industry is full of fads. The supplement companies have gotten better at marketing their products. Most of these companies invest more in marketing their products as compared to R&D.

As any marketing professional would confirm, the best way for a company to make more money is to get their customers to buy more products from them. The phenomena of selling a new product to an existing customer are known as cross-selling.

The idea of making more money can be tempting for anyone and we can’t blame the supplement companies for it. If a customer already has bought a whey protein powder, selling him another tub of the same product won’t be effective in moving the supplement company’s balance sheet.

On the other hand, the supplement company could bundle up the whey protein supplement with another supplement like a BCAA powder and a guarantee that it will give the consumer better results. Most of the people buying supplements to improve their bodies won’t mind spending a few more bucks every month in hope for better results.

Hardly do these buyers know, these additional supplements will minutely budge the needle. There is no doubt technology is getting better with time and so are the supplements. But the question is, do you need all the supplements a supplement company has in its catalog?

The simple answer is a no. Bodybuilding has been around for a long time and many bodybuilders made it big with the help of few supplements and so can you. Most of the athletes endorsing new supplements don’t use the products themselves. If they can do without it, so can you.

Whey Protein

If you’ve been around the fitness scene for some time, you would know the importance of whey protein by now. Most bodybuilders and fitness athletes swear by whey protein. Many of these athletes consume the protein powder multiple times in a day.

Whey protein powder contains essential amino acids which are absorbed quickly by the body. Studies show whey protein can help you increase strength, gain muscle and lose significant amounts of body fat.

Pre-Workout Supplements

Even the best of bodybuilders have days when they don’t feel like training. Pre-workout supplements can be the push you need on these days. Some pre-workout supplements can take your workouts to the next level by supplying you with energy, mental focus, and muscle pumps.

Some pre-workouts supplements contain stimulants. After some time your body can get accustomed to these stimulants and might stop responding to them. It is recommended that you cycle using the pre-workout supplements.

Creatine

Creatine is a controversial supplement, and a lot has been said about it. Many people think using creatine can harm your kidneys, liver, and heart. Many studies have proved creatine is a completely safe supplement and has no side effects when used in moderation.

Creatine is a chemical which is naturally formed in the human body and is also found in red meat and seafood. Creatine can improve exercise performance and can help you complete more sets and reps which can, in turn, lead to gaining muscle mass.

    • First off, never said I did any. Second, I'm 26. I've been shot twice (shattered humerus and tibia was only part of it), had my left leg nearly cut in half by a giant sheet of half inch glass at work, all in all almost died 8 times. Heart actually stopping several occasions. After all that I'm still here and still busting my ass. Still lean and 220lbs at 5'9". You can take all the drugs you want..won't mean shit if you don't work your ass off day in and day out. This was supposed to be a joke, but of course assholes like you have to try and get your little hits in.

  • You dont need any supplements all you is a balanced diet and hard training once you get to your genetic limit if you want to go further then inject some test and as time goes by increase your cycle adding deca, eq, tren etc.

    • I get to my genetic potential with one part of the body say size then il change up for a bit see how high can get my strength so on and so on. Drugs only needed for Olympia stage

    • Mike James Compton dont be stupid once you reach your genetic limit in size and strength you could change things up until you piss yourself it wont make a difference you will need steroids to progress further.

    • George Campbell if you not happy with your max genetic potential iv done well with what I was blessed with I’d love more muscle but not at the cost of organ failure and or early death to each their own

    • Organ failure and early death is when people are taking a shit ton of gear lol. You can literally do cycles of 500Mg of test alone amd gain a ton brother. No need for gratuitous amounts of gear. Not unless you're trying to get your pro card and win comps lol. Even most of those guys will live long lives because they know what they are doing, smart with it, take precautionary measures, go for regular blood panel tests, etc.

    • Mike James Compton That is not true robby robinson is in his 70s he has being taking steroids for over 50 years and he looks good in great health, in the 70s and 80s no bodybuilders were dropping dead because they didnt use crazy amount of steroids, it start in the late 90s when bodybuilders start to blow up to 300 pounds.

    • Whey isn't garbage. Actual food is def what matters most, but whey is great for recovery and helping gains because of how fast it's absorbed so great for post workout recovery. Now, if your body doesn't agree with it, like dude saying it makes him sick...I understand that. Even then, I'd at least do some EAA's and BCAA's during or after the workout.

    • Adam Keylon it's garbage ! Food is king ... it's always the small guys or amateurs that scream whey is the tits ?

    • First off, I agreed with you about food. Second, I didn't act like whey is magical fairy cum that makes you huge lol. Last, who are you calling small? I had my left leg nearlt cut off 3 years ago and 4 months ago I got shot twice (shattered.my right humerus and tibia and I had to get my arm cut open for a steel plate that is the length of my upper arm and 11 screws) and I am still bigger than you ya fuckin keyboard warrior lol. And amateur? You think you're special or something? I didn't realize I was talking to Ronnie Coleman. My bad lmfao.

    • You're a pro Dick for sure lol. Coming at me like that for no reason. It's dudes like you who make the world think bodybuilders are all assholes.

    • Adam Keylon ? well well temper temper ... all I'm gonna say is no sir bigger than me not on your best day my friend lol but thanks for the trigger ? keep on drinking that whey ?
