The Rock Trains Lats in Epic 2:30 AM Workout Session

The Rock burns the midnight oil to get in some much-needed back training.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently shared some intense back day training that he performed at 230 AM. The popular actor and athlete is always hard at work improving his physical health and increasing or maintaining muscle mass.

Having a concrete training schedule is paramount for success in any fitness endeavor. By scheduling out your training you’re giving yourself the best chance to build your physique properly. Sometimes it can be difficult to adhere to a specific schedule, however. At those times you have a couple of options to choose from. You can either skip the training altogether (never a great idea). Or you could make up for training at a different time, the most practical and logical choice. When faced with the choice of missing a training session or shifting his training schedule, you can be sure The Rock is choosing the latter every time.

Late Night at the Iron Paradise

Recently the famed actor and athlete decided to get some back training done at his home gym, “The Iron Paradise” as The Rock calls it. There he worked on training his lats with several different exercises and rep ranges. One of his focuses during the training, which took place at 230 AM by the way, was to stretch and elongate his lats. The Rock goes in-depth about the late-night training session and how he pushed himself through the workout.

230am Saturday night training.

Not my usual workout time, but it was just one of those long, long days where all kinds of unexpected shit gets throw at ya.

Body didn’t want to go train in the middle of the night – but that one tiny voice in my gut said you may not want to, but after a day like today, you sure as fuck need to.

Honestly, I wound up having one of the best workouts. Completely rejuvenated and able to clear my head and energy.

My adrenals were already at a 10, so in a way, this was all very calming for me 😂🧘🏾‍♂️

We gotta listen to that voice in our gut that says yes when the rest of our body is saying no.

Have a productive week.

• great burning superset here you should try

Strength Therapy

It’s clear that The Rock utilizes training as a form of therapy, both physical and mental. After his long and challenging day, rather than skip training and pick things up the next day, he chose to leave everything in the gym. Sometimes putting in some hard training can completely reset a person’s mind and body, allowing them to tackle whatever life challenges they’re facing with renewed vigor. It’s certainly a great lesson for those facing any kind of issue. Exercise is key to helping you manage and even improve your well-being.

What do you think of The Rock and his intense late-night back training session?
