Adrien Broner Desperately Asks Followers for Donations on Instagram

Well this has to be an all time low.

Adrien Broner, one of the most brash and enigmatic figures in boxing today is in need of help. Apparently despite the fact that he’s self proclaimed money making machine, Broner has taken to Instagram to ask for donations from his followers.

While Adrien Broner has always been quick to taut his impressive money earning ability in the sport of boxing, the cryptic message on his Instagram account is definitely baffling.

In the post below, Adrien Broner is just short of begging his followers for money in what has to be one of the more shameless attempts to get money we’ve seen a professional athlete pull.

Thank you for your support?? cashap $Aboutbillions89 #SupportMeAndIFight4U

“I’m sorry I haven’t been posting on social media but I’m going through some tough times at this moment,” said Broner. “If you can send me $10 on cashapp $Aboutbillions89 I will appreciate it. #SupportMeAndIFight4U.”

While Adrien Broner really could be in need of funds, this attempt seems to smack of extreme desperation. The boxer hasn’t even gone on record as to what he needs the money for and fails to leave that very important piece of information out of the post. You can understand a GoFundMe campaign due to charity or treating some kind of illness, but to just vaguely and brazenly ask for donations through CashApp with no explanation as to why? That’s definitely craven indeed.

If he really needs money so you’d think he’d try to get himself another boxing contract. But Adrien Broner has been notoriously difficult to work with and that very fact, as well as poor spending habits, could have led to the boxer pulling such a desperate move on social media.

Will his fans and followers actually contribute, despite the professional boxer offering nothing in the way of the reasoning for this post? Gut feeling says they should leave this alone, but as always only time will tell.
