Olympia bound.

What makes athletic endeavors so exciting in the first place? Could it be the nonstop action? Of course, it’s what drives us to tune in and engage. Could it be the personalities? That too is a motivating factor is tuning into a competitive event. But seeing new fresh faces may be the most intriguing factor of them all.

Just think about it for a moment. Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler were running the show for years before the emergence of Phil Heath, a bodybuilder who could one day be considered better than both those legends. You never know what you’re going to get with every passing year and event. After only existing for a year and a half, the Classic Physique division is offering up that very same intrigue as the young and hungry up and comer Chris Bumstead takes center stage.

After winning the Pittsburgh Pro, Chris Bumstead has punched his ticket to the big show and is officially Olympia bound. While he may be young in the sport, it by no means he doesn’t have what it takes to shock the world, turn some heads, and challenge for the Olympia crown. The craziest thing to consider is that Chris Bumstead is only 22 years old and has all the potential in the world to be a great champion. With so much room to grow, it’s truly remarkable to consider how far he could go in his career. For now let’s appreciate this young man’s hard work.
