Al Ain Legends Championship Has Cultural And Economic Goals

Al Ain Legends championship hopes to set itself apart.

The Al Ain Legends Bodybuilding Championship and Expo will be hosted by patron H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan on May 3 and 4, 2018.

This is the event’s very first edition, and exhibitionists, entrepreneurs, and contestants from all over the world will assemble to participate.


Director of Al Ain Convention Centre Abdulla Al Hammadi told Albwawaba Business:

“Al Ain has a track record of hosting major sports and fitness events that attract considerable attention. It is of immense value for all of us that the city will host the region’s biggest and much-anticipated body building championship. The bodybuilding scene is gaining momentum in the region and Al Ain is proud to be at the forefront of all the action.”

The Convention Centre, owned and operated by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) will offer 12,900 square meters of exhibition and conference space of a marquee style, which is ideal for the myriad of high profile characters and booths that will be hosted this weekend.

Over 800 visitors are expected to attend the eclectic mix of contests related to health and wellness including fitness, martial arts, Parkour, Thai Boxing, Kung Fu for Children, Bodybuilding.

The event makes a specific effort to target children in an attempt to foster a culture and interest around fitness and health in the upcoming generations.

“The body building event will help build the right foundation for inculcating a love of fitness and outdoor activities among the youth and help build up an athletic community of youngsters that can compete nationally and internationally.”


The event should also have a fairly pronounced economic impact on the region, as the center and it’s commerce it is part of a larger effort to urbanize the area.
