A workout song from beyond the grave.
Memorial Day weekend has come and gone. While we were celebrating the troops some individuals were scarfing down burgers and fries in droves while others were more dedicated and continued to track their macros for the best quality gains. That latter half is the reality of a bodybuilder dedicated to improving their physique. Eating barbecue isn’t too horrible for a bodybuilder looking to gain more muscle mass, particularly during the off season.
For those still in competition mode like the men and women who competed at the California Pro Show, the diet plan was centered around greens and lean meats. Steve Kuclo was named the winner of the event with the unheralded and impressive Nathan DeAsha taking the number two spot. The show demonstrated the constant shift present in bodybuilding. Just yesterday Kuclo was being heralded as the next best thing. Now he must fend off young guns like De Asha to keep his position secure.
With Dexter Jackson once again winning another Arnold Classic title in Africa this past weekend, one can only wonder who will be the next big star the sport has to offer. Everyone has their day in the sun and it appears with some hard training, a dedication to diet, and a drive to become the best in the world, Nathan De Asha could be the future of the sport.
