According Page Six, Montel Williams was more than enthusiastic during his workout, which in the end worked against him.

“Anyone who knows Montel knows that he is an exercise enthusiast,” his rep said in a statement on Thursday. “Yesterday, he overdid it, and has been admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. He is doing well and anticipates being discharged soon.”

“In the coming days, as he always has, Montel will tell his story himself. Until then, we respectfully ask that his family’s privacy be respected,” the statement continued. “The Williams family will be forever grateful for the quick response from [New York City Fire Department] and the excellent care he has received.”

Montel Williams has been known for his dedication to fitness. After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999, Williams has used a number of methods to treat his ailment. Williams recently posted about his own line of cannabidiol.

WATCH: This May Be The Most Atrocious Deadlift Form We’ve Seen

Whatever you do, do not deadlift like this.

There’s nothing wrong with trying to achieve a goal, especially if it’s one that takes a great deal of effort and sacrifice. Bodybuilding requires a specific goal in mind and the means to execute. Pushing yourself is to the limit always leads to making some great results whether you succeed or fail. That said, you better have the form to pull you through or you can end up injuring yourself on the way to your goal.

The clip below shows an average joe looking to pull off a deadlift. His form leaves much to be desired however as he begins to fall apart as he tries to heft the weight.

Ronnie Coleman Interview: “No One Trains Like I Did” | Iron Cinema

Extended interview from Ronnie Coleman: The King with the man himself.

IRON CINEMA – Every Friday we connect you with Generation Iron director Vlad Yudin as he sits down for an exclusive long form interview with the industry’s most vital members – including athletes, trainers, and experts.

With less than a month away from the release of Ronnie Coleman: The King – the Generation Iron team has been pouring through the excess footage that wasn’t able to make it into the film. Much like any documentary – a lot of footage was filmed but only so much was able to fit into the film.

While filming the main interview – director Vlad Yudin talked with Ronnie a little bit further with Ronnie Coleman to go in more detail about how much physical strength played a roll in his success as a bodybuilder and as a legend. Ronnie has always been naturally strong – and he trained in a way that was unheard of for most bodybuilders. It’s part of the reason he has so many serious injuries and surgeries today.

But more importantly, no one has trained with the same intensity as Ronnie Coleman even today. Not only did Ronnie Coleman set the bar high – he set it at an unreachable hight that no competitor has been able to replicate since.

In the interview above, Vlad sits down with Ronnie to discuss in detail his strength, his legendary training methods, and whether or not anyone will be able to be another “Ronnie Coleman.” Check it out above!

Zack “King” Khan and Kevin Levrone Speak Out Against The Mistreatment of Palestinians

Zack Khan and Kevin Levrone are using their platforms to make a statement.

One of the responsibilities of having a distinct voice and a major platform to operate from is that your silence speaks just as loudly as your firm statements. With the disputes between Israelis and Palestinians reaching new heights, bodybuilders with major Instagram followings are using their platforms to speak out against injustices that many have turned a blind eye to.

Zack “King” Khan, a British IFBB bodybuilder with a loyal following, recently made a post about the misfortune Palestinian families have been facing at the hands of Israeli troops. The situation is indeed complicated, but Khan believes it to be less so, siting that love and compassion is something that we need during the current climate.

Touched by this post, all time great and bodybuilding legend Kevin Levrone felt compelled to repost this depiction of mistreatment.

Had to repost this. It’s very sad to see this happening to human beings. Wake up people who are born and raised here in America. Be thankful each day you have a roof over your head, food to eat, clean water and let’s not forget about your Freedmon. Most have no idea what’s going on on the other side of the world. Living in your little comfort zones, because you’re so selfish and self absorbed it’s SAD! You wouldn’t last 48hrs in these people’s shoes….I’m Speaking From On Ground Experiences That I’ve Witnessed With My Own Eyes. Check Yourself ✅ All We Need Is Love…It’s Free.. #realtalk Repost from @zack_king_khan using @RepostRegramApp – How easy is it for your kids to go and come back from school???. When humans are treated worse than animals there is something wrong while the whole world watches this and turns a blind eye on this. I don’t post this for likes so don’t like this post! There is nothing to like, I want people to see.. in this day and age what some humans have to go through. It’s a disgrace.. imagine these are your kids. It’s not about race and religion it’s about #compasion and #HumanRights #ModernDayHolocaust

A post shared by Kevin Levrone™ (@kevinlevrone) on

While we all have a voice, not all of us have the same kind of influence to reach the masses. Both Zack Khan and Kevin Levrone used their Instagram as a platform to make a statement on how we can all learn to love each other and that equality is the key to creating positive outcome for us all. While some people believe athletes shouldn’t make political statements, we must remember that individuals with the power to express their opinions should be cheered rather than denigrated. Once we lose our voice, we can lose our freedoms and it’s something that Zack Khan and Kevin Levrone want to remind the masses.

What’s your opinion on athletes making major political statements?

WATCH: Dexter Jackson’s Arm Is Fully Healed And Ready For Mr. Olympia 2018

Dexter Jackson gives update on his bicep.

Dexter Jackson turned heads at the Arnold Classic Australia 2018 – but not for the reasons that he would like. Many fans in the audience and online noticed that his bicep was looking pretty weak. The reason? Apparently a torn bicep. Dexter has been giving us health updates ever since – and now we have his 100% seal of approval. Dexter Jackson’s bicep is now fully healed. This comes from a video update from Dexter himself and compiled by Fazi Fitness.

Dexter Jackson has long been a powerful competitor at the Mr. Olympia despite being one of the oldest competitors on stage. But the 2017 Mr. Olympia showed a slight departure from his usual top 3 status. He landed 4th place. This is still nothing to scoff at – but many wondered if this was the beginning of the end for Dexter. The torn bicep at Arnold Classic Australia this year didn’t help things.

So now the question remains – with a fully healed arm and ready to compete again at the Olympia this year… will Dexter be able to be a full threat like he was in years past? Only time will tell but Dexter seems confident which keeps us motivated for a great competition later this year.

Check out the video above and let us know your thoughts as to how well Dexter will do at the Olympia 2018.
