WOW… It looks like this Russian bodybuilder lost his damn mind…

WATCH: Meat Head Starts A Fight At The Pawn Shop

Anger management.

Stereotypes are a tricky thing. They exist to some degree for a reason – a general observation that might hold true in a majority case. But they also classify individuals unfairly. Bodybuilders have to deal with this in the form of a “mindless meat head” stereotype. According to this stereotype, bodybuilders are mindless, dumb, people who only know how to “lift things up and put them down.” They are also filled with roid rage.

While this is generally untrue – sadly there are people who help propel the stereotype (after all it didn’t come into existence out of thin air). Here’s a little throwback video of a tough guy starting a fight at the pawn shop over a purchase. Does he confirm a stereotype of a meat head? Let us know in the comments below!

Calum Works His Wheels With Depletion Sets Just 10 Days Out

On to the next challenge.

The IFBB. No matter how you slice it, the long running federation is the premiere organization for all of professional bodybuilding. There are plenty of other organizations that exist out there, but none with as much notoriety and history as the IFBB. As such, the organization houses some of the best talent in the world of bodybuilding. With names like Kai Greene, Phil Heath, Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay, Dexter Jackson, and many more, it’s easy to see why so many athletes in the field wish to join their ranks. One of those up and coming athletes are the road to joining the ranks of the IFBB is Calum von Moger.

By now, everyone is familiar with Calum von Moger. An advocate of the old school, “the second coming of Arnold”, the future of bodybuilding, a lot has been said about Calum as he’s risen through the ranks. But he wasn’t in the IFBB and that led to many different discussions of interests, namely, how would Calum von Moger do in the IFBB? Well it seems that the Australian bodybuilder has been asking himself that very same question.

Calum has already taken his first step toward joining the ranks of the IFBB. He won his first NPC show last month in an attempt to bolster his resume as he works his way to getting his pro card. Now he’s onto his next stop on the journey as he intends to compete at another show in ten days time. And from the looks of things he’s taking his training to a next level to ensure that he destroys the competition and takes home another win.

Do you think Calum von Moger has what it takes to become an Olympia champion?

Watch What Happens When A Human Arm Explodes! The Synthol Files

Seriously?

You would think that one Synthol arm explosion would explain it all…but here we are. We’re not really sure what the draw is but it seems people can’t stop injecting oil into their arms for less than ideal results.

Synthol, for those of you guys who don’t know, is actually a site enhancement oil, comprised of 85% oil, 7.5% lidocaine, and 7.5% alcohol. To be fair it started off as a way for actual bodybuilders to “top off” their muscles before a competition. However, when the masses got a hold of it, it blew up in many South American cultures like Brazil, Argentina, and Columbia.

The real draw is that it’s instantaneous. As oppose to the hard work and dieting it takes to make real muscle. Many casual lifters want results now, and thus turn to their oily God. Fortunately for us we get to watch when their arms explode. Enjoy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGUx-673b_4

I’m not sure if it was synthol or spoiled custard in his arm, but either way he applied to much. What do you guys think, is this the type of body you want? If not, how about you just lift some heavy weight. Yeah, that’s what we thought.

Is this the nastiest synthol arm you’ve seen?

Keto-Life: How To Stack The Deck (And Your Kitchen) In Your Favor

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Ketogenic diet is one of the hottest “fad” diets around. While many low-carb diets have come and gone, this one has managed to stick and become a favorite amongst fitness experts. A ketogenic diet (keto) is a very low-carb diet, which turns the body into a fat-burning machine. It has many potential benefits for weight loss, health and performance, but also some potential initial side effects. The primary goal of the Keto diet is to keep the body in a state of ketosis for health, weight loss, and physical and mental performance.

But how does one keep such a strict diet when pizza is just a phone call away and friends are family are carb loading like there’s no tomorrow? The trick is to stack the deck (and your kitchen in your favor). We tend to make bad decisions when we’re in a time of craving or desperation (prime example: drunk dialing), keep your kitchen stocked with the big three (fats, proteins, carbs) for a real chance at success.

Freezer

Animal Proteins and frozen vegetables reign here. Meats such as Steak, Salmon, and chicken should be a staple. Don’t be afraid to try more exotic meats such as ostrich, bison, or fattier meats such as pork. Pay a little extra for high quality frozen vegetables as opposed to some store brands as the difference in taste can be miles apart.

Fridge

Dairy: Finally a diet where you’re encouraged to eat yogurt, butter, cheese, and heavy cream. Get your dairy from a variety of sources such as goat, cow, or even sheep. A half cup of naturally fermented yogurt contains around 17 grams of protein and is chock full of probiotics.

Protein: Egg whites or whole eggs should be a staple in the house of any keto practitioner along with lunch meats such as salami, pepperoni, and pastrami…yum.

Veggies: When it comes to veggies you want to for variety. Not exactly the taste machines of the diet, keep things interesting by stocking your fridge with a myriad of vegetables such as broccoli, brussel sprouts, bok choi, yellow squash, zucchini, mushrooms, etc.

Fruit: While it’s always good to keep your fridge full of your favorite fruits, apples, plums, berries, etc., don’t forget to also add the high in good fats Avocado!

Condiments: Focus on full fat options such as mayo and blue cheese and be sure to check the label for carb content. Pickles and olives are a good option to add on hand as their diversity allows the to be tossed in a salad or paired with salami.

Bonus (Pantry)

Herbs and seasonings: Anything without sugar, cornstarch, or dextrose is on the good list. Oregano, thyme, primrose, and basil are some of my personal favorites.

Oils: While olive oils and coconut oils seem to be the most popular amongst health nuts, lesser known options such as lard, bacon fat, and even duck fat are also viable options.

Sustainable liquids: Coconut and almond milks always come in hand for a good curry or a yummy milkshake; combined with the fact they’ve got such long shelf lives make them hard to beat.

More Protein: Beef Jerky (unsweetened) and canned fishes (tuna, mackerel, salmon, etc.) are great sources of protein that don’t need to be kept in the fridge.

Sweet Tooth: Chocolate…did we mention chocolate? 85% cocoa dark chocolate with a hand full of your favorite nuts is the perfect little treat that will keep you in ketosis as well as keeping your sweet tooth at bay.

There you have it, the cheat sheet on how to stack your kitchen in your favor. No more excuses, get to your local Trader Joe’s (or Whole Foods if that supplement deal finally came through) and commence the shopping.

Opinion: Frank McGrath Needs To Get Back On Stage ASAP

Back to the front lines.

Bodybuilding is a far more intricate task than many outsiders want to admit. Many believe that all you need to do is lift some weights, eat chicken and brown rice, and you’ll suddenly see the results you seek. Admittedly, that isn’t too far off. But despite it sounding so simple, it takes a tremendous amount of discipline and patience in order to transform your body into peak human condition. And that’s just being a regular Joe. Imagine getting up on stage and competing professionally. It’s a whole different ball game. That’s what makes the fact that certainly genetically gifted individuals aren’t consistently hitting the stage.

Frank McGrath, we’re looking at you.

Before suffering a terrible car accident in 2010, Frank McGrath was on track to be the next big thing in bodybuilding. With tremendous genetic gifts and a consummate work ethic, McGrath proved himself to be a truly talented bodybuilder. There are very few competitors with the kind of vascularity and massive size as Frank McGrath and he should be using that to his advantage.

Since his accident McGrath has tried a number of times to reclaim his greatness, but has still yet to become consistent. Obviously there are bumps in the road for every competitor, but nonetheless there are very few people who have the kind of potential that Frank brings to the table. As such he shouldn’t be sitting on the sidelines for too much longer or he’ll risk missing out on all that otherworldly potential.

If you don’t think Frank McGrath still can’t make some noise in the IFBB then check out the Instagram post below that may change your mind.
