Eddie Hall Hits Training Partner So Hard He Coughs Up Blood

Eddie Hall has some massive punching power.

Training for combat sports is a dangerous prospect. It takes not only dedication and commitment, but risking bodily injury as well. When Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall agreed to their boxing match, both men agreed to take on the dangers of training.

But as a boxing trainer and training partner, you must also be prepared for the dangers of the sport as well. In order to be a good training partner, you must be willing to risk your own health to help.

For Eddie Hall training partner Paddy, he had to learn the hard way that you don’t play boxing.

Doing his best to help Eddie Hall prep for his bout with Thor, Paddy has been holding pads for the 2017 World’s Strongest Man. Paddy has also been wearing a body shield giving Hall additional targets to attack beside the mitts. The results didn’t turn out too pretty for Paddy.

In a recent training session, Eddie Hall hit Paddy in the body shield so hard that he ended up coughing up blood.

Luckily Paddy has since recovered from the session and is doing well. But the event has given Eddie Hall even more confidence heading into his bout with Thor. He even went so far as to state:

Thor, I hope you’re watching boy because that’s going to be you in the ring coughing up your soul.”
