Joey Swoll Shares Update Following Six-Hour Heart Procedure: “My Heart Is The Best Its Ever Been”

Joey Swoll provided fans an update following a six-hour procedure.

Joey Swoll has built an incredible following on social media, not just because of his physique, but because of his overwhelming positivity in the gym. Swoll has focused on defending those who do not have a voice when they are wrongly accused of harmful behavior. He has done a lot of other good as well. Recently, Swoll saw a wave of support following a health update over the weekend.

Swoll took to Instagram to share an update following a heart procedure. He shared that it was supposed to be a 45-minute procedure but it lasted six hours.

“Had a little scare this week with what was to be a routine 30-45 min heart surgery ended up being 6 hours on the table. In the end I made it, I’m home, and I’m 100% for the first time in years. My heart is the the best it’s ever been. I’m SO thankful for all incredible doctors, nurses, and amazing staff at Hoag Hospital.”

Joey Swoll Receives Many Messages From Fans

Joey Swoll shared a picture from his hospital bed but also added a second post that went in depth on his procedure.

“During the procedure, a piece of the tool they used fell off inside my heart causing a lot of problems and me to crash. At one point, they even had to pump in my heart. 6 hours later, awake and praying for every single second of it, after going in through both sides of my groin and wrist, they were finally able to retrieve it. It was a miracle.”

Swoll received many comments from fans wishing him well. This includes The Rock, who commented on one of his recent posts.

Joey Swoll credits the doctors and medical staff that he worked with during this procedure. He is currently home and working to fully recover from this surgery.

“I am at home, healthy, doing work, feeling great but just very physically and mentally beat up…Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and kind words. It truly means the world and you’ve all put a big smile on my face.”
