Phillip Herndon Crushes 914 Lb (414.5 Kg) Squat For Unofficial World Record

Phillip Herndon squatted an incredible 914 lbs in training.

Powerlifter Phillip Herndon recently crush a 914 lb (414.5 kg) squad in training for an unofficial world record. One of the strongest humans on the planet Herndon has been growing his legend through solid performances in competition. But it would be during training that Herndon would rise to the occasion and unofficially crack the standing raw squat world record.

Powerlifting is all about mastering the three classic lifts: the bench press, the deadlift, and the king of them all, the squat. Being able to master even just one of these exercises would be an incredible accomplishment. To master the squat and push world-level weight means you’re one of the strongest humans on the planet.

Competing in the 275 lb (125 kg) weight class, Phillip Herndon has proven to be quite the talented powerlifter. While performing raw, his all-time best lift in the squad is 906.1 lbs. That’s just short of the official raw squat world record of 909.4 lbs held by Reece Fullwood.

Always looking to improve as any good powerlifter should, Philip Herndon, is hard at work in the gym training to improve his overall strength. In his most recent training, Herndon was able to eclipse the world record while using knee sleeves. While he may have been equipped while lifting, the most impressive part of this lift is how easily Herndon was able to heft the weight.

Unofficial Squat World Records

In a recent training video posted to his Instagram, Phillip Herndon put up 914 lbs add made it look like child’s play.

Wow, this lift may have been extremely impressive, but ultimately this won’t go down as an official record. Despite it not being official Phillip Herndon is quickly establishing himself as a man to watch in powerlifting. With how smooth this lift was, it would come as no surprise if Herndon was able to replicate this feat in competition.
