Urs Kalecinski Shares Details Of Hospital Visit Five Days Before Arnold Classic

Urs Kalecinski shared that he spent time in the hospital just five days before taking the stage.

Urs Kalecinski has emerged as one of the top competitors in the Classic Physique division. After finishing as the runner-up in the 2023 Arnold Classic, Kalecinski shared a post about how he spent time in the hospital heading into the show.

Kalecinski took third during the 2022 Olympia. He has solidified himself in the same category as Chris Bumstead and Ramon Rocha Queiroz as a top three competitor in the division. During the Arnold Classic, Kalecinski fell short of Ramon Dino once again.

On Instagram, Kalecinski shared a post on Sunday urging those to not let obstacles stand in the way of goals.

Urs Kalecinski Dealt With Food Poisoning During Prep

The Arnold Classic featured a small roster but was very top heavy in Classic Physique. Urs Kalecinski was part of the group fighting for the title and did so while battling other circumstances.

“Strength isn’t just about the muscles you build, it’s about the willpower you have to keep pushing forward. Even when I was in the hospital just 5 days before my competition because of food poisoning i got, I never lost sight of my goals.”

Kalecinski battled with Queiroz and former champion Alex Cambronero on stage from the prejudging on Friday. He was able to emerge as a top-two finisher despite dealing with an illness heading in.

Urs Kalecinski continues to improve on stage and has the makings of a future champion. After competing in Columbus, he became stronger in many ways.
