Eddie Hall Shares His 20 Minute Shoulder Workout for Solid Muscle

Eddie Hall shares his shoulder routine.

When it comes to being a top level strongman, it requires a well built physique. No, not ripped and shredded like a bodybuilder, but certainly a powerful frame is needed to compete with the best of the best. That means building solid and powerful muscle.

2017 World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall understands this well.

The British strongman has proven his immense strength time and again in competition. And while he may be focused on training for his upcoming boxing match with Hafthor Bjornsson, Eddie Hall hasn’t forgotten what’s gotten him to the dance.

Between boxing training and experimenting with different athletes endeavors, Eddie Hall is still lifting like a beast.

In one of his latest training videos, Eddie Hall demonstrates how he builds up his shoulders in just 20 minutes.

“Today I’m going to show you how to get in a shoulder session in about 15-20 minutes. Now for me, it’s my full-time job, but today just on this one instance, I actually have only got just under 20 minutes to get a shoulder session in. So I’m going to fire through my shoulder session really, really quick in order to keep up my strength and keep pushing forward to this boxing match.”

Making your shoulders bulletproof is a major key to being able to heft massive amounts of weight. The training video encompassed the below training routine for building powerful shoulders.

  • Isolated Seated Dumbbell Press: 30kg/40kg/50kg/62.5kg/72.5kg/80kg for 8 reps (each arm)
  • Dumbbell Side Lateral Raises: 30kg/40kg for 10 reps
  • Bent-Over Dumbbell Lateral Raises: 30kg for 9 reps (3 sets)
  • Standing Bent-Over Dumbbell Rows: 30kg for 9 reps (3 sets)
