Hadi Choopan prematurely walked off stage on Saturday night but recently issued a statement following the 2023 Olympia.

The 2023 Mr. Olympia finals wrapped up on Saturday night. Derek Lunsford was crowned champion over 2022 winner Hadi Choopan. Many believe that Choopan had what it took to win but the judges saw it differently. Following the announcement, Choopan walked off Mr. Olympia stage prematurely. Just two days later, Choopan issued a statement congratulating all competitors.

It was clear from prejudging that Lunsford and Choopan would be the two battling it out for the title once again. This was the case in the 2022 Oympia as well during Lunsford’s Men’s Open debut. He finished as the runner-up to Choopan that night but turned the tables on Saturday.

After the competition was over and bodybuilders had time to think about their performances, Choopan took to Instagram to issues statements.

“Well done on your achievement I congratulate all of you on the championship and I wish you the best. Good luck and happy championship to all of you”

Hadi Choopan Speaks Out On Instagram

Not only did Hadi Choopan speak to other competitors, he thanked all of those who were present during his journey, beginning with his family.

“If you are in the best part of the world at the best time in the world and in the best place of happiness, but if you are not with your family, there is no pleasure. Missing you is very hard. My lady is the best companion of my life. I love you my dear. Thank you for all your hard work and everything. Your patience and effort for a better life, you are the hero of my life, lady 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏”

Finally, Choopan made a post in Farsi language where he apologized to fans and supporters for not achieving his goal of defending his title and repeating as Mr. Olympia.

Hadi Choopan continues to be one of the top bodybuilders in the world and will work to be as good as ever over the next year. There is little doubt that Choopan contend for the 2024 Mr. Olympia title.
