NPC Is Making Some Big Changes To The Classic Physique Format

Changes are coming for Classic Physique.

The Classic Physique division has become one of the more intriguing categories in bodybuilding in the modern era. While Open Weight bodybuilding is still considered the main attraction, Classic Physique is proving itself to be extremely exciting. With the category only being created within the last two years, anyone could pop up and become the best of the best through virtue of hard training, the right posing routine, and a unique element to their physique.

One of the major caveats that set Classic Physique apart from the Open Weight division is the inclusion of Weight limits depending on your height. A great idea in theory, but as Phil Heath has pointed out, bodybuilders usually look to improve by gaining more muscle which of course means gaining more weight, something that could become a real problem for Classic Physique competitors. But it appears that something is being done to rectify that fact.

The NPC has now officially announced that the weight limits for Classic Physique will be increased. This will allow for competitors to put on more muscle and hit the stage with the most solid package possible. Take a look at the official post below for more details.

What do you think of the increase in weight limits for Classic Physique?
