Superhuman strength is something only the few can achieve. It requires a certain level of dedication, of sacrifice. The training entailed to become superhuman is extremely taxing, so much so that one could break under the pressure.

But there are some brave souls out there that don’t mind pushing themselves to the limit in order to achieve greatness. One such individual is powerlifter Petr Petras.

The Czech powerlifter has showcased great strength in the past. He won the Big Dogs 3 in Australia back in 2018, cementing his name as a powerlifter to watch on the circuit.

But for the past two years Petr Petras was sitting on the sidelines as others rose to prominence. But recently Petras made a comeback and did so in a major way.

Competing at a recent meet in Odessa, Ukraine, Petr Petras smashed through the raw world record total set earlier this year by Daniel Bell. Petras had a squat of 470kg/1036lbs, a bench press of 290kg/639lbs, and a deadlift of 400kg/882lbs for a total of 1160kg/2557lbs.
