78 YEAR OLD GRANNY DEADLIFTING LIKE A BOSS!

Generation Iron 78 Year Old Dead Lift

Don’t let her appearance fool you.

Many people want to make a change in their life. Whether it’s physically, mentally or financially, everyone has some kind of motivation to get up in the morning or else what’s the point to this whole life thing. Having goals you wish to set is an important criteria to making a major difference in your life. The idea that you can make a difference without putting in the effort is absolutely ridiculous, yet there are many people out there who would rather complain about things not changing rather than getting up and forcing the change to happen.

When it comes to working out, many people have their excuses. Whether it’s an injury that keeps them at bay or some kind of outside obligation, people always have an excuse to get out of working hard. But at some point an individual must take responsibility to for their own actions and make a change in their attitude. If you’re looking for success in no matter what field you participate in then you’re going to have to stop making all those excuses and get to work.

If you want to make a change then you’re going to have to suck it up and push yourself to see what kind of gains you can achieve. If you want to be bigger, stronger, more athletic then nothing should stand in your way, not even age.

If you’ve ever had the notion that you’re too tired to train, that you can’t manage to put your all into whatever endeavor motivates you then just remember that no one cares. Only you can make a difference in your life if you choose to, much like 78 year old Shirley Webb. Sure, she may be at an age where hitting the gym seems to be a ludicrous idea, but the Illinois native proves that anything can be done as long as you have the right motivation.

Shirley is 78 years old but she can deadlift 225 pounds three times! (via @jwright0123)
