Jim Arrington Shares Secrets To Longevity

Jim Arrington has been able to keep a consistent diet and change what he needs to. As he has gotten older, Arrington has had to change certain aspects of his diet and shy away from the typical protein-based meal plan. He was able to eat milk and beef because he was not allergic.

“THOSE WERE THE TWO FOODS THAT I’M NOT ALLERGIC TO. BUT THEY LEAD TO INFLAMMATION. I CHANGED MY DIET ENTIRELY. I FIGURED IF I DID THAT, I COULD CONTINUE TRAINING AND I COULD KEEP THIS THING UP.”

Arrington was born premature and had to deal with many health issues over the course of his childhood. As he got older, Arrington gained a passion for fitness. It sparked when he wanted to be like his childhood favorite superheroes. He decided to begin going to the gym and training his physique.

Arrington began training as a teenager in the 1940s and has not stopped to this day. He is often seen at the legendary Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach. He typically tries twice a week for at least two hours.

As the years have gone on, Arrington is not content with just remaining active in the gym. He is also active on stage. Prior the Masters World Championships, Arrington last competed in 2022 and shared that he has no plans of retirement. Arrington will continue to look for bodybuilding shows he can enter and show off his physique on stage.
