On a constant journey of self improvement through strength training, Larry Wheels is looking to break another record. While he’s already put up some impressive numbers as of late, the powerlifter now has his sights set on a new goal.
For months now, Larry Wheels has been putting in work on the strict curl. The American strongman, bodybuilding and powerlifter has trained hard and has edged closer and closer to securing his goal of breaking the world record. He recently disclosed the effects PEDs have had on his body in order to recover faster and improve his training.
Currently the world record for the strict curl stands at 249lbs. That’s a massive amount of weight to say the least. But Larry Wheels seems poised and ready to take on the challenge.
Recently the Strength Wars star has achieved a major milestone on the way to the world record in just several months of training. He has set a personal record in the strict curl at 231lbs, just 18lbs short of the world record.

Larry Wheels continues to share his progress on his social media to his followers around the world. He continues to push himself to grow stronger and is within reaching distance of the world record. Larry Wheels has become one of the greatest powerlifters. He also manages his own supplement and clothing company and performs an intense training regimen. That same training regimen is why many of us here have become big fans of Wheels.
Larry Wheels Workout Routine
As a powerlifter, Larry Wheels works out 6 days a week and incorporates a muscle mass building regimen for strength and endurance.
Day 1 – Chest Day Workout
Larry Wheels’ performs a detailed chest workout routine by performing 5 chest workouts.
Larry Wheels’ chest routine:
- Barbell Flat Bench Press 4 x 8-12 reps
- Flat Dumbbell fly 4x 10-12
- Incline dumbbell bench press 4 x 8-12 reps
- Decline barbell bench press 4 x 8-12 reps
- Pec deck machine 4 x 10-12 reps
Day 2 – Back Workout
Larry Wheels’ completes back a routine performing 5 different workouts with an average of 4 sets and 8 reps.
Larry Wheels’ back routine:
- Bent over cable lat pulldown 4 x 8-12 reps
- Wide grip bodyweight pull-up 4 x 10-12 reps
- Behind the neck lat pulldown 4 x 10-12 reps
- Seated machine row 4 x 10-12 reps
- Single-arm machine row 4 x 10-12 reps
- Hammer Strength seated row 4 x 10-12 reps
Day 3 – Shoulder Workout
Larry Wheels performs this shoulder routine by doing a total of 5 workouts.
Larry Wheels’ shoulder routine:
- Standing behind the neck shoulder press 4 x 8-12 reps
- Seated dumbbell press 4 x 8-12 reps
- Incline smith machine shoulder press 4 sets 8-12 reps
- Side lateral raise machine 4 x 10-12 reps
- Reverse pec deck 4 x 10-12 reps
Day 4 – Leg Workout
Larry Wheels’ performs leg routine by doing an average of 5 workouts.
Larry Wheels’ leg routine:
- Barbell squat 4 sets, 8 reps
- Barbell squat with resistance bands 4 x 8 reps
- Barbell deadlift 4 x 8-10 reps
- Smith machine squat 4 x 8-10 reps
- Back extension 4 x 8-10 reps
Day 5 – Arm Workout
Larry Wheels performs this arm day workout by doing 5 workouts.
Here is Larry Wheels’ arm routine:
- Dumbbell triceps extension 4 x 10-12 reps
- Weighted bench dips 4 x 10-12 reps
- Lying down cable curl 4 x 10-12 reps
- Standing plate curl 4 x 10-12 reps
- EZ bar curl 4 sets to failure
Larry Wheels Diet Regimen
Larry Wheels is well known for many of his epic cheat meals. However, the powerlifter knows how to follow a strict diet to maintain muscle mass and strength.
Many of the foods he incorporates into his diet are beef, chicken, salmon, rice, avocado and sweet potatoes. He consistently eats around 8 meals each day depending on his current fitness goals.
Larry Wheels’ diet:
Meal 1
- 8 Egg Whites
- 2 cups of oatmeal
- 2 cups of almond milk
Meal 2
- Whey Protein Shake

- Grilled Chicken
- Avocado
- 2 cups of Brocolli
