Joe Rogan has shared his current home workout routine with fans to help lighten the load of the coronavirus pandemic.

UFC commentator and controversial podcast host Joe Rogan has recently shared his home workout routine with fans over YouTube. For those of you looking for ideas on how to work out without access to a gym, look no further. Joe Rogan has been interested in fitness for a long time and clearly knows what he’s talking about. Take a look at the video above for some helpful tips and tricks.

One thing Joe Rogan reiterates is that you don’t need fancy equipment or a lot of supplies to get a great workout in.

“One kettlebell, one chin-up bar, and you replaced your gym. Every day you can get a f*cking ferocious workout in in a bunch of different ways,” he shares in the video.

Fitness is a demanding commitment; it’s easy even in the best of circumstances to make excuses to not go to the gym. “I’m too tired,” “I had a long day at work, I’ve earned the right to skip a day,” are common excuses. In a global pandemic it becomes even easier — “How can I even focus on working out reading about everything horrible that’s going on?” The truth is, as Joe Rogan bluntly puts it, there are no excuses for not ripping through a monster workout – if you have a kettle bell or something of equivalent weight, that’s enough for you to be working out from home.

However, if that’s still not an option for you, think about other ways you can get creative with working out while still following the CDC’s recommended social distancing guidelines.

Going for a hike with your dog in a secluded area is a great way to push yourself and keep your fitness up even without access to a gym. It might not be the same rush as going to the gym and getting a huge workout in, but it will do a lot to preserve your muscle mass and basic conditioning while you wait for things to normalize. You can do lunges or other exercises on the trail to improve your conditioning.

The keyword here is creativity. If you don’t have access to the gym anymore, you’re going to have to improvise to keep your workouts up to standard. How you do that is up to you, but Joe Rogan makes some powerful suggestions — try push-ups at home, jumping jacks or other cardio exercises while you’re on a hike. You set your own limits, and even though it’s easy to feel powerless in this time, the truth is there are a lot of resources out there for you to fully realize your potential, even while quarantined. Take advantage of Joe Rogan’s advice, get out there, and find your own way to fully realize your fitness. Before you know it, you’ll be back in the gym, and you’ll have a huge advantage over people who used this time to lie around the house.
