Kai Greene reveals his method for consuming eight meals a day.

When you get to a certain level of bodybuilding you have to push yourself in ways you may not have first imagined. Sure, starting out is relatively simple. Find some weights, adhere to a program, start lifting, keep your diet in check, rinse and repeat. You have to be consistent and dedicated, training day after day for results.

For a professional bodybuilder, pushing the limits is essential for success. A competitor like Kai Greene has had to take his training and dieting to a whole new level to achieve his physique.

While he was competing consistently, Kai Greene had to adhere to a pretty extreme nutrition plan. It’s impossible to pack on massive muscle by just lifting alone. Having a diet with adequate protein is also a major necessity for success. The problem is that you have to consume so much food that it can become a herculean task. For a pro like Kai Greene, he had to eat eight meals a day to achieve his massive frame.

Eight meals.

That’s a whole lot of food for just about anyone. When you factor in how much food he had in each meal it’s even more alarming. The stresses of eating so many meals in one day is one of the little talked about struggles of being a pro bodybuilder. Perhaps it sounds simple to pack away the food, but it eventually takes it’s toll.

In some recent Instagram comments, Kai Greene spoke about eating eight meals a day as well as how he managed to consume them.

Used to drink my grilled chicken and rice when I was in my phase of trying to break 250lbs. Also blended beef and drank it. Now I’m simply plant oriented as much as I can.

Put it in a blender and bottoms up.

When asked why he chose to blend his protein, Kai Greene responded:

Yeah, had a hard time eating. 8 meals a day over and over. Jaw starts to hurt man.
