With some packed on bulk – we can only wonder…
In the minds of hardcore fans, Men’s Physique division has been met with a mixed response over the years. Where some individuals believe that the division is the epitome of bodybuilding due to it’s emphasis on aesthetics, there are others who don’t consider the category to be bodybuilding at all. These “purests” believe that the only true way to call yourself a professional bodybuilder is if you’re competing in the open weight of 212 divisions, both of which have more of a focus on massive frames.

With the inclusion of the Classic Physique division many questions have been raised and answered. Many were wondering is perennial Men’s Physique competitor Sadik Hadzovic would move to the Classic division after a failed bid at the Olympia this past year. Sadik has since gone on the record stating that he will compete in the newly minted division.
Jeremy Buendia, the man to deny Sadik victory on more than one occasion, has dominated the men’s physique category ever since hitting the bodybuilding scene. The two time Olympia Physique champion has looked comfortable in his division giving no sign that he wishes to leave the category for the Classic division. But ever since the Olympia Buendia has been building a considerable amount of muscle. At this it’s only speculation, but could a move to the Classic Physique division be in the cards?
Recent posts on Instagram show Buendia with a bulkier physique, putting on quite a bit of muscle in this off season. Check out the Instagram posting below to see what we mean.
He hasn’t gone on record as of yet, but it would be intriguing to see if Buendia wished to change division and continue his rivalry with Sadik in the newly created category.
