Huge, massive, BIG.

As we head further into 2016 every bodybuilding fan will undoubtedly begin to think on the most important competition of the year, the Olympia. The Arnold Classic featured some of the best bodybuilders in the open weight division including Kai Greene and Cedric McMillan, two accomplished pros that are looking to put their stamp on the sport this year. With Kai winning both the Arnold Classic in Ohio and Australia, it’s becoming very likely that “The Predator” is still at the top of his game and could be the man to challenge the number one bodybuilder in the world, Phil Heath.

It’s easy for fans to forget about all the other threats to Heath’s crown once the many bodybuilding competitions throughout the year begin to pop up crowning a number of champions with the potential to compete at a high level at the Olympia. With Cedric McMillan becoming a legitimate threat and the sudden emergence of Josh Lenartowicz as a contender, the Olympia should be pretty interesting this year.

.

That said, we can’t forget about the other top contenders who are primed to challenge for the Olympia crown. One such contender that comes to mind is Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay. The Egyptian bodybuilder has constantly been talked about as a huge threat to Heath based on his sheer size alone. But Big Ramy also has great genetics and symmetry. If his conditioning is improved upon then he could truly be a danger to Heath.

In a recent guest posing, Big Ramy showed off his off season physique. Take a look.

Many may believe that Big Ramy has a lot of work to do, but training under Chris Aceto means that he’s in competent hands. While everyone may be quick to jump to conclusions, we all must remember that Big Ramy is still on his off season bulk and there is plenty of time between now and the Olympia for the Egyptian powerhouse to get into the kind of shape to cause Heath and the other top pros some issues.

Do you think Big Ramy will be a threat this year?
