WATCH: DEXTER JACKSON GUEST POSING WEEKS OUT FROM NEW YORK PRO

Generation Iron Dexter Jackson New York Pro

A preview before the show.

Last year’s Olympia competition was interesting to say the least. It was one of the more memorable bodybuilding events because of who didn’t compete. Kai Greene went on record stating that he wouldn’t be at the biggest bodybuilding show of the year which sent shock waves through the community. The number two bodybuilder in the world not competing against his chief rival the number one bodybuilder in the world Phil Heath surely took away from much of the drama of the Olympia.

But while Kai may not have competed at the biggest bodybuilding show of the year, there were still a handful of revelations that made the event pretty memorable. Chief among those revelations was the emergence of a veteran bodybuilder as a major threat to the competitors in the top three of the open weight division. Former Olympia champion Dexter “The Blade” Jackson.

Jackson had some impressive showings in 2015. First he one a record fifth Arnold Classic championship proving that he could still give the younger bodybuilders out there a run for their money. Then he replicated the victory at the Arnold Classic Australia. Jackson’s victories over some of the top bodybuilders in the world had fans speculating as to how he would perform at the 2015 Olympia in Las Vegas.

As Jackson’s presentation at the show demonstrated, the veteran champion was on point and was able to overcome younger men like Dennis Wolf and Shawn Rhoden to take second place to Phil Heath. To be able to achieve such a placing at this point in his career shows just how genetically gifted Dexter Jackson is as well as his resolve to compete against the best of the best.

Now in a recent guest posing just weeks out from the New York Pro, Jackson is still looking large and in charge as he showed his off season physique to the masses. If he takes the New York Pro – he will officially hold the record for most pro wins in history of the IFBB.

Where do you think Dexter Jackson will place in the Olympia this year?
