Andrew Jacked details his contest prep between the Olympia and the 2023 Arnold Classic.

Andrew Jacked is a newcomer who has rattled the bodybuilding world. He brings a massive size and physique that is rarely seen this early into a bodybuilding career. He already started making waves at the 2022 Mr. Olympia and now he’s back to possibly grab the title at the 2023 Arnold Classic. Generation Iron’s Victor Martinez and Brandon Lirio talk with Andrew Jacked just one day before the 2023 Arnold Classic to get insight into his contest prep and improvements leading up to the show.

With only three months between the Mr. Olympia and the Arnold Classic, competitors who decided to do both had quite the turnaround on their hands. This is a double-edged sword. On one hand, this allows a competitor to stay closer to contest-ready and avoid an off season all together. On the other hand, it can be a short amount of time to make improvements depending on the quality of the physique displayed at the Olympia.

Andrew Jacked ultimately placed eight at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. While this is just short of the top six, he doesn’t see this as a disappointment. This was his first ever Mr. Olympia and he placed in the top 10. He has nowhere to go but up.

Andrew Jacked brings the hunger to his 2023 Arnold Classic prep

Which is why Andrew Jacked decided to compete in the 2023 Arnold Classic. It provides him another opportunity to clash against the best athletes in the world (plus a chance at a new and improved prize purse). After getting into the top 10 at the Mr. Olympia, Andrew Jacked now feels the hunger for victory more than ever. In our interview just one day before the big show – Jacked claims that this hunger was the biggest difference between his prep for the Arnold vs his Olympia prep.

He also points out that he decided to avoid an off season completely in the three months between shows. Instead, he treaded these three months as an extended final contest prep. He maintained his conditioning and focused on making tweaks and improvements. Perhaps even putting on a few extra pounds without going through a bulking phase.

Andrew Jacked likes to keep his hype mysterious – so he avoids making bold claims that he will win the show. But he does carry an aloofness that shows he feels confident in his latest package – and hopes to rise up and possibly even win this weekend.
