SYNTHOL BODYBUILDER BOSTIN LOYD REVEALS HIS INSANE STEROID CYCLE

Generation Iron Bostin Loyd Steroids

Generation Iron Bostin Loyd Steroids

Another cycle unveiled.

The pursuit of massive muscle gains is the name of the game when it comes to bodybuilding. Whether you’re an elite pro or just your average run of the mill lifter with the intentions of looking more shredded, achieving greater muscle development is the key goal. If you’re not making gains then you’re just wasting time and because of that mentality many professionals and amateurs believe that they must rely on substances like steroids and synthol in order to achieve greater gains. The more we move forward in bodybuilder the more common it is for even the average Joe walking the streets to be on some kind of anabolic or synthetic substance in hopes of obtaining massive muscle.

.

Some people may have their gripes about this kind of mentality dominating the bodybuilding scene while others may not take much issue with it at all. But one thing is certain, the more we look into these issues the more we begin to realize that steroids is beginning to dominate the industry, for better or worse.

There are many natural bodybuilders who believe this approach is unhealthy, the complete opposite of what they believe the sport of bodybuilding should truly be about. It’s an opinion that many athletes share and although steroid use on a minor scale isn’t all that horrible for an individual, it’s the steroid abusers that can end up giving a negative stigma on the sport.

One such individual that many consider to be damaging to the image of the sport is the young bodybuilder Bostin Loyd. He has gone on record with his steroid use and the fact that he uses synthol to enhance his appearance. His outspoken nature is appreciated by many while others consider the young man a bit obnoxious. Recently that bit of honesty has revealed the amateur bodybuilders staggering steroid cycle on Instagram. Internet bodybuilding personality Lui Marco commented on the young man’s cycle in the video below.

Do you think Bostin Loyd is taking things too far with his steroid and synthol use? Let us know what you think in the comments and forums. Also, be sure to follow Generation Iron on Facebook and Twitter.

Generation Iron Jay Cutler Essential Advice

Generation Iron Jay Cutler Essential Advice

Jay Cutler dropping some knowledge.

There are so many different elements to keep in mind when it comes to bodybuilding. There’s obviously the training which is essential to making gains. There’s nutrition which is undoubtedly the most important element of making great development. In order to see the most advancement you have to keep track of all your bad habits and improve upon things that you may already do well. The life of a bodybuilder is far from simple to say the least.

For the most part when it comes to bodybuilding many fitness experts would advise you not to emulate a professional bodybuilder if you hope to make progress. It’s a notion that’s been given credence because so many people would rather have immediate results rather than play the long game. But it’s an ideology that’s flawed. Bodybuilders are able to be who they are because of the hard work and dedication they’ve acquired. They’re pros for a reason, it’s not an accident. If you want to listen to anyone in regards to building a physique like a pro then maybe a pro is exactly who you should be taking some pointers from.

.

One such pro who knows what they’re talking about is four time Mr. Olympia king Jay Cutler. Known for his battles with Ronnie Coleman and the only man to regain the Olympia crown after losing out to the great Dexter Jackson, Jay Cutler is a bodybuilder that has garnered much respect from fans and competitors alike for his easy going attitude and candid approach to giving advice and tips. Jay recently appeared on Jerry Ward’s Bios3 video on YouTube to give some candid advice to bodybuilding amateurs and aficionados. Check it out.

ON THE COMEBACK TRAIL: ANTHONY PETTIS BACK IN ACTION

ufc

ufcCan a big win next Sunday get Anthony Pettis a shot at the title?

These days the lightweight division is looking very intriguing, especially now that Conor McGregor has thrown his hat into the race as a title challenger. Many lightweight contenders may be pretty peeved about the brash Irishman jumping the line to get an immediate title shot, but in reality it could be the best thing for the lightweight division, likely to give the weight class the most exposure its had in years. So many intriguing match ups open up if McGregor manages to pull the upset and defeat current lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. Perhaps even more intriguing than the match up between McGregor and dos Anjos is undoubtedly a battle between the winner of the title and the man who last held the lightweight strap, Anthony Pettis. Ever since falling to dos Anjos last March in a failed title defense, many have been writing off Pettis calling him an overrated paper champion in some cases. The criticism is a bit harsh, especially when you consider the performances that the man nicknamed “Showtime” has been able to pull off in the cage. I invite you to try and find another person who has ran off the side of cage, fly through the air, and kick another trained professional fighter in the face. b9984640z.1_20130827190756_000_gge27ea3.1-1 Don’t worry, I’ll wait. What? Couldn’t find anything? Well that shouldn’t be too surprising. Anthony Pettis is a pretty special athlete who still has tons of potential to grow into an even more dangerous mixed martial artist than he already is. He has shown how impressive he is with finishes of Donald Cerrone, Ben Henderson, and Gilbert Melendez, all three men who have either challenged or held the UFC lightweight title. With his fight against Eddie Alvarez looming at next Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 81 event all eyes will be on the former lightweight champion. Alvarez himself is coming off of a victory of Gilbert Melendez that has rocketed the former Bellator lightweight champion into UFC contender. If Pettis is able to dispatch Alvarez in spectacular fashion then there’s no doubt that he’ll deserve the next shot at the title. No offense to Alvarez, but here’s hoping we see some flying ninja action come Sunday night. 063_anthony_pettis_vs_donald_cerrone_gallery_post.0 Do you think Anthony Pettis will get the next title shot? MANAGER DENIES REPORTS THAT CONOR’S HOLDING OUT FOR BIGGER PAY DAY

Conor McGregor White suit

Believe half of what you hear

With contracts still not signed and no official announcement from the UFC, it’s easy to see why rumorville has been in a frenzy about the main bout of UFC 197. Though it’s still looking to be featherweight champ Conor Mcgregor vs lightweight champion RDA, the MMA community seems to be getting a little stir crazy. According to Globo, the official announcement was suppose to be made during Sunday’s NFL game between the Greenbay Packers and the Washington Redskins. It didn’t happen and one of the most common rumors was superstar Conor Mcgregor was demanding more currency as he felt his base salary of $500,000 wasn’t enough after his :13 second K.O. of former reigning champ Jose Aldo. The rumor was further exacerbated after RDA’s manager Ali Abdel Aziz shared a tweet that reflect his thoughts on the matter. https://twitter.com/AliAbdelaziz00/status/686393243550875648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Not only does Conor McGregor’s manager Audie Attar claim otherwise but his team seems to imply that it’s RDA who’s holding up the process. https://twitter.com/MMAjunkieSteven/status/686624329551892480 https://twitter.com/John_Kavanagh/status/686632875387650049?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Politics. At this point we don’t care who’s telling the truth. We just want this thing sign sealed and delivered. Thought we love Conor and can’t wait to see him fight he has to remember that no one’s bigger than the sport. Actually that goes out to Dana White too. I understand it’s a business and he’s trying to grow the sport but if we learned anything from boxing it’s that money isn’t everything. Stay tuned and take care. MIKE RASHID GIVES YOU THE FINAL WORD ABOUT OVERTRAINING

Generation Iron Mike Rashid Overtraining

The Tao of Overtraining.

Bodybuilding has always been a game about balance. If your balancing act is off then you’re likely to get some negative results out of the whole endeavor. You can lift heavy and are encouraged to, especially if you want to do more than just look the part of a bodybuilder. But if you only focus on hauling heavy weight then you’re unlikely to get that ripped and shredded physique you’re gunning for. You have to balance that heavy weight training with some more moderate weight training, as well as some cardio for good measure. If your diet is extremely healthy, but you eat way more than you need to, healthy or not you’re going to gain fat.

The balancing act has always been of major importance in building a physique to be proud of. So it can be a hard pill to swallow for some when the topic of overtraining is brought up. The subject of overtraining has always been ambiguous. There are plenty of people who believe that overtraining can ruin your gains and cause injuries. There’s also another school of thought that believes overtraining is key to seeing the best results. Some people even say that there is no such thing as overtraining.

.

Mike Rashid is one of the guys that believes overtraining is necessary to bodybuilding. The bodybuilder and inspirational YouTuber has some interesting ideologies about bodybuilding and overtraining is something he believes is not only helpful for creating the ultimate physique, but also necessary. Take a listen to Rashid as he breaks down the reasoning behind why he believes you should be overtraining.

Whatever side you believe to be true, there’s no doubting the fact that hard work and dedication is what’s going to get you to the top. So what’s you opinion on the subject? Is overtraining a myth or the only road to seeing results? Let us know what you think in the comments and forums. Also, be sure to follow Generation Iron on Facebook and Twitter.

WATCH THIS LEGENDARY WORKOUT MOTIVATION VIDEO OF RONNIE COLEMAN

Generation Iron Legendary Motivation Ronnie Coleman

Generation Iron Legendary Motivation Ronnie Coleman

Lightweight Baby.

The above quote is probably my favorite from any bodybuilder or person in general. It says so much in so little. Before you take the weight off the rack, it’s a warrior cry saying that I will not be defeated. It tells the world that no matter what lies ahead it is insignificant compared to my will and testament. That’s the stuff that champions are made of baby – get some. But there I go getting emotional again.

.

Despite all the fancy words and inspirational quotes, a leader, an icon, has to leader by example…he must do. The very word lead means to “go first”. Now it’s no secret that Big Ron Coleman has been leading by example – winning the Mr. Olympia title 8x in a row, holding the most wins for an IFBB pro at 26, but what continues to baffle is that even at 52 he’s still paving the way for the bodybuilding community, and he’s still fitter than you!

Check out this inspirational video of Ronnie Coleman then and now, and though he might not be as big physically, the will of a champion never fades, it just gets more precise. When you love something you don’t just die for it, you live for it too. If this video doesn’t make you want to do something you’ve been putting off for a long time, we don’t know what will. The time is now. Go get it.

THE ESSENTIAL MOVE TO LIFT HEAVIER WEIGHT OVERHEAD

Generation Iron Overhead Weight

Generation Iron Overhead Weight

It’s all in the shoulders.

As bodybuilders we know that strength is only as good as the mobility behind it. Everyone has a story of a big for nothing dude taken to task in the school yard by a smaller scrappier opponent because he was too big to throw a proper punch. But despite being on the embarrassing end of a world star video, mobility can limit the amount of weight you can push, that’s right, true story.

When your lifting heavy ass weights, your back needs to perform 2 functions. One is to act as a sturdy base to allow you to control the weights overhead and the second is to move those weights, mobility. Your thoracic spine needs to be able to extend and push your chest forward for stability moves like squats but also rotate as your shoulders rotate. When your back and shoulders are tight that means the movement must come from somewhere else – this is usually the thicker vertebrate of the lower back, and that’s a no no. The range of motion there is limited to a few degrees, any more can spell big trouble. So, what’s a bodybuilder to do?

.

In this latest video, Men’s Health Fitness director B.J. Gaddour takes us through some stretches to increase mobility for both the upper back and shoulders. Leading you with a pain free lower back as well as massive gains on the weight rack. The video starts out simple in the beginning but gets a little trickier as it goes along. Ideally the end position is what you would be in for an overhead snatch or squat but stick to it if you don’t get it the first part, the aim is progression not perfection.

Do this drill 5-10 times before any overhead lifts for ideal results. Check out the video below:

TRANSFORMATION: FROM SKINNY KID TO MIND BLOWING MASS MONSTER OF YOUR NIGHTMARES

Generation Iron The Nightmare Bodybuilder

Generation Iron The Nightmare Bodybuilder

The nightmare becomes a reality.

Everyone has a journey that has led them down the road of building muscle. Whether you were stick skinny and looking to pack on muscle or it you were overweight and looking to burn fat and look more aesthetic, everyone has a motivating factor that has made them want to make a change in their life. Coming to that realization is the first step on the journey and it doesn’t end there. If you’re planning to see continued improvement then you have to stick with it and push yourself continuously in order to see the results you desire.

Martyn Ford was a skinny professional cricket hopeful whose dreams of making the sport he loved into a career were dashed with an unforeseen injury. After his dreams crumbled, Ford turned towards running as his training method but after losing a tremendous amount of weight and dropping to unhealthy four percent body fat realized that he needed to educate himself and find a new way to train. That was the beginning of the journey that would lead to him becoming the 325 lbs behemoth, nicknamed ‘The Nightmare’, that he is today.

.

“I never really had a goal as such, I just wanted to be bigger. 12 years on I seem to be that for sure, but there’s still more to achieve with my physique. The initial transformation I would say took two to three years. You were definitely looking at two different people then for sure.”

Generation Iron The Nightmare bodybuilding transformation

He not only made some major gains in his physique, but was also able to take his body transformation and utilize it in his favor, turning it into a promising acting career.

“Acting came about by chance to be fair. It was something I had always had in the back of my mind. People always said ‘you should be in films’ etc but that’s as far as it went. Then one day, a friend of mine – a great actor who has been in Hollywood films himself – suggested I went for the role of the bad guy in the latest James Bond film. His agent sorted out the casting, and before you know it I was sat in a huge, posh lounge in London waiting to audition. Unfortunately I never got that role but it kickstarted my acting career to date. I signed up to a great agent in London, got myself into acting school and before you know it I’d managed to secure my first job. It was a pilot which was filmed in South Africa for an American TV channel. Ray Winston was the lead man and it was an incredible experience.”

Ford’s story is inspirational and shows how bodybuilding can truly have a positive effect on a person’s life. Ford is looking to use his experience to provide inspiration to other youths that may be in the position that he once found himself. So what’s the advice that he would give to newbies looking to make gains?

“The best advice I could give to young lads is to research! There are so many kids who jump into training and just presume by moving weights and working hard that results will automatically come. Knowledge is an amazing tool, and with so much out there don’t be a fool. Give yourself every opportunity to be a success and also be safe.”
