Most bodybuilders and bodybuilding fans have heard of World Gym – the famous hardcore bodybuilding focused gym that was often compared to the Mecca of bodybuilding – Gold’s Gym. Much like Gold’s Gym, World Gym has gone down the corporate path – leaving the San Diego World Gym facility at a crossroads. Either become corporate or maintain its hardcore identity. It chose the latter and is now known simply as The Gym.

In this week’s Hunt For Hardcore, Rich Gaspari heads to San Diego to visit The Gym, hang out with the owner, learn a little bit of the history, and try out the equipment. Is the training facility formerly known as World Gym still hardcore enough? Find out in the episode above!
