Teenager Gets Assaulted, Kicked Out of Gym for Deadlifting “Too Loud”

An unwarranted assault over deadlifts.

The gym is a happy place for those looking to get into shape. It’s a place where you can focus in on yourself and look to make improvements whether that be to your physique or your strength, balance, agility, you name it. For a great deal of fitness enthusiasts, the gym is a sacred place, a sanctuary to escape to in times of need or simply for self discovery and improvement.

So imagine heading to the gym, looking to improve yourself and your strength while at the gym and some jerk interrupting that and pushing you around in the process. That’s exactly what happened in Buzz Fit Gym in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

While performing deadlifts in the gym, a teenage lifter is interrupted and nearly injured by a gym member. According to powerlifter Pete Rubish, the young man is his student and had been warned about deadlifting in the gym because the exercise was deemed “too loud” for the other patrons. The gym agreed to allow the young lifter to continue his deadlifts as long as he placed mats on the ground in an attempt to absorb the sound. Following the rules laid out for him, the young man chose to deadlift once again, only to find himself unceremoniously ejected from the premises.

The problem with this is that the person throwing him out of the gym wasn’t a gym staff member and used physical action to get the job done. What we’re left with is video of the teenage lifter being pushed around and nearly seriously injured while in the middle of his deadlift due to his third party’s unprofessional and irrational actions. Take a look at the video for a first hand look at the account.

When a Bodybuilder Does Boxing! Artemus Dolgin Has Some Sharp Hands and Serious Skill!

Artemus Dolgin’s got hands.

Everyone needs a hobby. For many that hobby just happens to be martial arts in one of it’s many forms. From Muay Thai kickboxing to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, these days everyone seems to be finding their way to the martial arts world. For bodybuilder and staunch Golden Era advocate Artemus Dolgin, his martial art of choice is boxing.

Usually when we see bodybuilders enter into other sporting realms, the idea of them having a tremendous amount of success doesn’t cross our minds. For a great deal of onlookers they may think that their bodies are too stiff to perform certain athletic movements, that they’ll look mechanical in the process. The reality is that every individual will have different success and Artemus Dolgin proves that theory to be correct.

The skeptics and haters out there would likely call Dolgin’s skills amateur or weak, but from this coach’s perspective, the bodybuilder appears to have some truly solid skills. From hand speed and position to footwork, Dolgin appears to have a great grasp on boxing fundamentals and his videos on Instagram show exactly that.

Punch you in the neck and break your ankle shit! Def feel more comfortable and confident throwing punches. It’s insanely hard to keep up with my regular bodybuilding routine but Im def mastering it. I readjust my lifts to lighter weights, shorter breaks, more supersets. I train one muscle group once a week, legs twice. Eating plenty of foods, more macronutrients, i incorporated more fruit and haven’t noticed any fat gains from it. I avoided fruit for years since my first prep. Also more electrolyted water and cbd. I’m noticing my body transforming into a higher frequency of performance, athleticism and aesthetics. I don’t walk around unsatisfied with my look anymore cuz I need more arms or legs. I’m happpppy. I just want some monnney! A lot of monnney! I don’t get paid to argue with you! Who are you!??You nobody! You mad! You big mad!!!! ?

His most recent video shows Artemus Dolgin using some slick head movement and counter punching during a pad work session that would make any boxing aficionado stand up and take notice.
