Does This Bodybuilder’s Calves And Vascularity Go Too Far?

Does his calves go too far?

When it comes to bodybuilding we all know that genetics play a major role. Where a normal individual may train for years to see certain results on their physique, there are individuals out there that simply grow just by looking at weights. It’s a gift, one that sets apart the average from the super human. Even so, these super human genetic beasts have their own strengths and weaknesses. You’d be hard pressed to find a genetically gifted bodybuilder’s weaknesses, but their strengths are far more recognizable. Karl Anderson is an example of having multiple different genetic gifts that make him standout as far as bodybuilding goes. But are his genetic gifts perhaps pushing the limits of his physique?

Karl Anderson, known by the Instagram handle Carlito_XXXL, has a pretty astounding physique. But astounding can mean a lot of things when it comes to bodybuilding. Carlito is a massive bodybuilder with the kind of insane vascularity that would put Frank McGrath to shame. What seems to standout, even more than his vein covered frame, are his massive wheels.

Carlito has some insanely huge legs for his height and overall frame. His calves in particular seem to be the strong point of his legs. But while that may be impressive in terms of the size and definition of his calves, one has to wonder if Carlito has pushed his physique to a level that is far beyond what he requires. There comes a point of diminishing returns in most ever endeavor you find yourself undertaking and bodybuilding is no different. You can have massive size and definition, but it can be pushed to a point to which it can throw off your physique. The Instagram posting below shows Carlito showing off his calf progression. Does it push the boundaries of the human physique? You be the judge.

Are Carlito’s calves too big for his frame?
