Jay Cutler Talks About Steroid Culture And Overuse Of Drugs In Bodybuilding Today

Steroid usage is getting out of hand.

When some people hear the word bodybuilding their minds instantly come up with one word: steroids. It’s perhaps one of the reasons why bodybuilding as a sport hasn’t been so warmly received by the masses. Anabolic substances are no doubt a part of the endeavor of becoming an extra large bodybuilder yet it seems that the drug aspect of transforming the body has never been as prevalent as it is today. What is it exactly that has sparked this obsession with steroid talk when it comes to bodybuilding?

These days young bodybuilders believe that drugs are the answer even more than hard training and genetics. There are individuals out there that can’t seem to grasp the idea that they will never look like Mr. Olympia. The unfortunate truth is that not everyone has the genetic capability to get to that level of muscle growth. If everyone could then getting into monstrous condition wouldn’t be that big of a deal.

Yet despite that knowledge, individuals believe that getting themselves into Olympia level shape is as simple as finding the right drugs to pump into their body to bring about change. But life isn’t a comic book. You can’t simply think you’ll look like your favorite bodybuilder by pumping an anabolic steroid into your veins. It takes hard work and dedication and even if drugs do play a role you’ll never get around the fact that training and diet are essential to seeing changes in your physique.

Recently Jay Cutler was interviewed by Jerry Ward as both bodybuilders discuss the drug culture that is consuming modern day bodybuilding.
