“Cutting the fat”

We need a certain amount of fat to survive, That’s a given. Fat is needed for certain bodily functions as well as organ full organ function, got it. But unless you’re in the single digits, this probably isn’t your problem. What’s more than likely is that you have excess fat hiding your heavenly figure (lower ab fat, we’re looking at you). But what if there was a way to minimize that, what if you could keep living your life as a general fit individual and with 5 little tweaks you could turn soft outer shell into a hard mountain of muscle? Check out our 5 minor tweaks for everyday bodybuilders.

Adding sliders and gliders

sliders add increase movement and instability to bodyweight exercises. This movement allows you to burn more fat.

Slow digesting carbs

We don’t care what these fad diets say. You’re going to consume carbs, right? Well if you’re going to consume carbs, at least consume the right ones. Slow digesting carbs such as oatmeal, buckwheat meal, and brown rice prevent insulin spikes and keeps you burning fat.

Eat fat…just the right fat.

Eating fat doesn’t make you fat. Consuming fats such as Omega-3’s can actually help with fat loss as long as you keep your  fat intake to about 30% of your diet. Things such as walnuts, almond butter, and fatty fishes are all good sources of fat.

Rest less than a minute

Researchers from the College of New Jersey found that when subjects rested for 30 seconds between sets on the bench press, they burned 50% more calories than subjects that rested 3 minutes. Moral of the story? Rest less than one minute.

Calcium

Grass fed dairy such as yogurt and cottage cheese have tons of calcium which can help burn fat. Calcium regulates the hormone calcitriol which causes the body to inhibit fat burning. When calcium levels are adequate, calcitriol and fat production are suppressed while fat burning is enhanced.

These are 5 hacks you can include in your everyday life that will turn you from flab to fab. Combined with hard work, these tweaks will have your body fat in the teens in no time.
