The origins of the 4x Olympia champion.

Every professional athlete must begin somewhere. No one has ever just woken up and waltz onto a pro stage and won a championship. It takes hard work, dedication, and tremendous amount of sacrifice in order to achieve greatness, there’s simply no way around it. Even a genetically gifted individual needs to put in the work in order to become the best bodybuilder in the world. There would be no Phil Heath if the man didn’t get into the gym and train his ass off consistently. It’s a reality that’s true for the current Olympia champion and it’s one that was true to the champ that came before him as well.

Jay Cutler is a four time Mr. Olympia winner with a he fan following and a storied career that saw him face off against arguably the greatest of all time, Ronnie Coleman. Years of competing against the eight time Olympia champion gave Cutler the experience and confidence to match up against any bodybuilder in the world. His era as champion may not have lasted as long as Coleman’s but he did have some great wins as well as some setbacks that proved to bolster him forward with even more impressive results.

But even Jay Culter had to start somewhere. He wasn’t always the massive monster that the bodybuilding world had come to know during his heyday. Cutler started his training at 18 and just four months into his training realized that his genetics allowed for some quality muscle growth. It was a no brainer that he’d some day be on a pro stage taking scalps and winning championships. Take a look at this throwback of Cutler and his impressive development in just four short months.
