Gabriel Rheaume emerged as the winner during the 2024 Canada’s Strongest Man!

2024 Canada’s Strongest Man Final Results

  • First Place – Gabriel Rheaume, 67.5
  • Second Place – James Jeffers, 58
  • Third Place – Wesley Derwinsky, 57
  • Fourth Place – Colten Sloan, 56
  • Fifth Place – Tyler Sigurdson, 43
  • Sixth Place – Frederick Rheaume, 41
  • Seventh Place – Yanick Boucher, 38
  • Eighth Place – Samuel Daigle, 37.5
  • Ninth Place – Larson Hehr, 36
  • 10th Place – Mathieu Poirier, 31.5
  • 11th Place –  Ben Court, 31
  • 12th Place – Simon Pratte, 22.5
  • 13th Place – Joey Lavallee, 16

2024 Canada’s Strongest Man Event Results

Event One – Max Deadlift

The Max Deadlift was the first even of the competition. Competitors were asked to find their heaviest deadlift and this was done through multiple rounds of lifting.

  1. Frederick Rheaume – 420kg
  2. James Jeffers – 408kg
  3. Yanick Boucher – 395kg
  4. Ben Court – 395kg
  5. Wesley Derwinsky – 376kg

Event Two – Truck Pull

The Truck Pull is a Strongman Classic. It asked Strongmen to pull a truck weighing 20,000kg (44,092lbs) for a distance of 20 meters. This was a timed event.

  1. Joey Lavallee – 33.04s
  2. Wesley Derwinsky – 37.82s
  3. Gabriel Rheaume – 19.13m
  4. Colten Sloan 19.02m
  5. Tyler Sigurdson – 18.14m

Event Three – Super Yoke

The Super Yoke was the third event of the day. Strongmen had to carry a massive implement on their shoulders weighing 454kg (1,000lbs). This was another timed event where the competitors had to move the object 20 meters.

  1. Gabriel Rheaume – 15.08s
  2. Ben Court – 19.09s
  3. Yanick Boucher – 19.16s
  4. Wesley Derwinsky – 24.11s
  5. Colten Sloan – 26.33s

Event Four – Overhead Medley

The Overhead Medley asked competitors to list four weights in the shortest time possible. There was also a 90-second weight limit. The objects were as followed – a 91kg dumbbell, 159kg axle, 166kg, and 113kg dumbbell.

  1. Gabriel Rheaume – 3 in 28.98s
  2. Colten Sloan – 3 in 41.97s
  3. Mathieu Porier – 3 in 50.76s
  4. James Jeffers – 3 in 82.16s
  5. Simon Pratte – 2 in 20.60s

Event Five – Sandbag Steeplechase

The Sandbag Steeplechase did not reveal the weight of each object. Competitors were asked to carry the massive sandbags through a course in the fastest time possible.

  1. Wesley Derwinsky – 42.66s
  2. Gabriel Rheaume – 46.55s
  3. James Jeffers – 52.43s
  4. Colten Sloan – 83.38s
  5. Samuel Daigle – 1 sack, 49’11”

Event Six – Atlas Stones

A classic Strongman event also finished the day. Competitors were tasked with lifting five stones onto different platforms in the fastest time possible.

  1. James Jeffers – 5 in 56.57s
  2. Tyler Sigurdson – 4 in 27.23s
  3. Gabriel Rheaume – 4 in 32.34s
  4. Colten Sloan – 4 in 34.23s
  5. Wesley Derwinsky – 4 in 54.03s
