2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man Results – Tom Pearson Wins Gold

Tom Pearson came away victorious during the 2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man.

The 2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man competition took place on March 22 in Bristol, UK. Some elite competitors from around the sport gathered to compete in six events until there was a champion crowned.

Tom Pearson emerged victorious with 26 points out of a possible 30. It was a closer battle from the opening event. Pearson was just one point better than Jimmy Ryan, who finished with 25 points. Jack Carter-Taylor rounded out the top three.

2025 Bristol’s Strongest Man Final Results

  • First Place – Tom Pearson, 26
  • Second Place – Jimmy Ryan, 25
  • Third Place – Jack Carter-Taylor, 18
  • Fourth Place – Joel Lees-Massey, 17.5
  • Fifth Place – Ed Stone, 9.5
  • Sixth Place – Mathew Hagerty, 1 (Withdrawn)

Press Medley

The Press Medley asked each competitor to press different weights for a variety of reps — 110kg for three, 120kg for two, and 70kg for one.

  • First Place – Jimmy Ryan, 3 in 49.82s
  • Second Place – Tom Pearson, 2 in 41.5s
  • Third Place – Joel Lees-Massey, 2 in 35.47s
  • Fourth Place – Jack Carter-Taylor, 1 in 5.41s
  • Fifth Place – Ed Stone, No Lift
  • Sixth Place – Mathew Hagerty, No Lift

Super Yoke Medley

The Super Yoke Medley put one minute on the each while each competitor moved 10 meters with a 340kg yoke followed by 10 more meters with a 260kg yoke.

  • First Place – Tom Pearson, 2 in 21.85s
  • Second Place – Jimmy Ryan, 2 in 29.03s
  • Third Place – Ed Stone, 2 in 29.81s
  • Fourth Place – Joel Lees-Massey, 2 in 36.25s
  • Fifth Place – Jack Carter-Taylor, 2 in 4.8 meters
  • Sixth Place – Mathew Hagerty, 2 in 2 meters

Deadlift

The Deadlift was for max reps with a 280kg weight.

  • First Place – Joel Lees-Massey, 5 reps
  • Second Place – Jimmy Ryan, 3 reps
  • Third Place – Tom Pearson, 2 reps
  • Fourth Place – Jack Carter-Taylor, 1 rep
  • Fifth Place – Ed Stone, No Lift
  • Sixth Place – Mathew Hagerty, Withdrew

Wheelbarrow Medley

During this event, each Strongman was asked to move 10 meters with three different weights.

  • First Place – Tom Pearson, 3 in 28.34s
  • Second Place – Jimmy Ryan, 3 in 31.22s
  • Third Place – Jack Carter-Taylor, 3 in 33.81s
  • Fourth Place – Ed Stone, 3 in 39.09s
  • Fifth Place – Joel Lees-Massey, 3 in 42.66s
  • Sixth Place – Mathew Hagerty, Withdrew

Sandbag Shouldering

The final event was the Sandbag Shouldering where competitors would lift 130kg bags for max reps.

  • First Place – Jack Carter-Taylor, 4 reps
  • Second Place – Tom Pearson, 3 reps
  • Third Place – Jimmy Ryan, 2 reps
  • Fourth Place – Joel Lees-Massey, 1 rep
  • Fifth Place – Ed Stone, 1 rep
  • Sixth Place – Mathew Hagerty, Withdrew
